Lovely site - narrow access

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Outgate Fell. Beautiful location, two excellent eating pubs with walking distance. Certainly the Outgate Inn is within range of our 3 and 4yr olds. The site owners were lovely and facilities as advertised. However what almost stopped us from going was my CAMC Sat Nav said the access was too narrow. Indeed the road signs say 6'6" wide. I have to say it was tight, but we got our 8' wide (8mtr long) caravan on to the site without too much trouble. So pretty much everything else should get in. Getting out was a close run thing getting thro the gate and turned. The approach road from Ambleside is as you would expect in the Lakes so avoid rush hour. And busses pass Outgate 10 to the hour and 2 mins past. So avoid those times and yr fine. We didnt going and met a bus at a bend but that allowed us a bit extra room. Lovely beautiful location ideal for so many walks and trips out. Particularly if you have a medium sized van :-)
