We have just returned from this CL and loved every second we were there. It's the way camping used to be when I went with my parents 50+ years ago All you get for your £12.50 per night is 1. Loads of space with pitches on different levels all with views of the surrounding idilic Lake District. 2. Total quietness and no crowds 3. Clear starlight display on a clear night 4 luxury water taps sticking out of the ground 5. Chemical disposal point in the woods 6 Friendly family hosts when they visit with their horse Libby and Boxer dog Louis We have a motorhome which because of the wet ground we pitched just to the right of the entrance gate where the ground is firm, there were 3 other pitches that would have been possible but we're taken, if you are towing with a 4x4 there are several other perfect pitches which would be accessible wet conditions. The taps are not directly accessible with a motorhome maybe 25 meters, so arrive with a full tank and maybe bring a container and submersible pump to replenish your tank or a very long hose Was not a problem we managed fine.
