Owl Meadow by name and an Owl Meadow it was

Just back from this lovely site, after an 11 day stay, originally booked for 7 but stayed longer, we were lucky and had the whole site to ourselves for a while, just watching the wildlife, Pheasants, Partridge, the acrobatic Swallows, which were flying just in front of the awning, the hedgehogs that come out at night and the amazing Barn Owl, which you could almost set your clock by in the evening, coming and hunting in the wild flower meadow that lies in front of the pitches. There are some really easy, flat walks directly from the site, the grass is mowed low and all cuttings picked up. It is easy to get to much of the Broads from the site, Wroxham, Potter Higham, Caister and Saltham to name such a few, Fairhavem Water Gardens is also well worth a visit. This site is one to which we will return again.
