Peaceful little haven.

We’ve just had two separate visits to Page farm with different sets of grandchildren. Ideal for them to play games etc as it’s a large field. Easy access to beaches at Dymchurch and Folkstone and Hythe. Also Royal Military Canal and Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway although this is quite expensive. Need to check tides as beach disappears about an hour befor high tide. Excellent fish and chips in Dymchurch Beach 48. Lots of English Heritage to visit all quite different castles. Deal is a nice place to visit too. Lots of lovely walking and stunning views too. Ashford 20 mins away for cinema or swimming pool/ climbing wall etc.

An utter gem of a site

I have just returned from one night at Page Farm. What a gem of a site. Spacious with lots of firm grass to park on, all of which have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Access is easy from the M20 - with the last few roads a bit narrow and bumpy but still totally fine with a caravan. The turn into the gate is also spacious and easy. Frank is a lovely and very friendly host. Before going to any CL I always check the specific directions on the website. Alas for this CL, the CAMC decided to only state "Look in the handbook." - which for many is either in their caravans (in storage) or has been sent to recyling, as everything is done online these days (I have never once used the handbook). For those in the same predicament here are the directions copied from the handbook (Frank said it is due to a very accute and sharp left turn once you come from the M20 side, that you can't do in a caravan, that one should only follow the directions below): "Only recommended route - do not use Sat Nav due to unsuitable rds for towing: Leave M20 at J11 onto B2068 (sp Canterbury); in 1m turn R (sp Postling); in 1m turn L by tel box. Fm hse immed on L."

It was amazing just as described by others, As for the owners what a lovely couple Kind Helpful and not at all pushy, The area was peaceful and definitely back to nature . Good electric supply water etc, Could not ask for any more, Would hope to return again

Well kept site

This is a good sized, well looked after field where we spent 2 nights. Note the directions in the handbook are to the farmhouse, the field itself is on the other side of the road a bit further along - clearly signed when you get there. A slight slope down from the entrance but not likely to be a problem except in very wet or frosty conditions. Access road is quite narrow for the last mile or so - we were glad we weren't towing when we met a tractor - but still very convenient for the Tunnel, we'll probably use this site again.

Peace and Tranquility!

Easy to find following the book directions. Easy access. On our own most of the week in a spacious field. Very relaxing and beautiful scenery as we drove to various places. Just up the road is Brockhill Country Park. Lovely for walks and especially fun for children, with a good cafe. There are footpath signs all around. Shingle beaches at Hythe and all the way to Folkestone, which you can walk. Dymchurch has a long sandy beach if preferred. Lovely area and site. We will be back soon.

Terrific site. Lovely people.

Lovely simple site on large, well maintained and flat field. Superb views of fields and sheep and set down a quiet lane. Access for larger outfits might be tight on the approach roads but definitely not an issue and to be off the beaten track is worth the short trek on country lanes. Both Mr and Mrs Hobbs were very welcoming and friendly. So much to do nearby with easy access to Hythe, Folkestone and Canterbury. Near the Elham woods for walkers and a couple of decent country pubs within a short drive.

Simple CL with a very warm welcome

We recently stayed at Page Farm for two overnight stops en route to and from France via Eurotunnel. The site is peacefully situated on the edge of a pretty village and comprises a lovely large, grassy field, albeit with a slight downhill gradient away from the road, with electric hook-ups, water tap and chemical waste disposal. Surrounding fields were occupied by various breeds of sheep and lambs, with delightful views to the hills beyond. It should be mentioned that the last mile of access to the site is via narrow country lanes with some passing places. Mr and Mrs Hobbs welcomed us warmly, as did their Jack Russell! After reading a previous review, we, too, enjoyed two excellent meals at The Gatekeeper at Etchinghill, a few minutes’ drive away. Following a night of thunderstorms and torrential rain, our car tyres were unable to grip on the soaking wet grass, rendering it impossible to tow our 2-berth caravan up the field to the road. Thankfully, Mr Hobbs and his Land Rover came to our aid and towed our entire outfit out with ease, enabling us to catch our scheduled train. Thank you again, Mr Hobbs! Fortunately, we had no such issues on our return visit. We would certainly return to Page Farm and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting an unfussy and peaceful stay in this pretty corner of Kent.

Simple but Superb.

I can not fault this CL, the site has wonderful 360 degree views , is very quiet , the grass is cut twice a week and within an hour of heavy rain the chalky soil is dry and firm. Many users only stay one night before going on to the Ferries or Channel Tunnel but to do so means that you miss out on so much of glorious Kent that surrounds this lovely site. We stayed 7 nights and still had lots left to do. Will we return to Page Farm, most certainly the next time we visit Kent, we would not want to go anywhere else.

Lovely site but stay spoilt by euro-tunnel 1 nighters

We stayed here in our MH for 2 nights & everything about the site was perfect for us - lovely walks, lovely views, peaceful location, well kept site, friendly & organised owner, good access (we came in off the A20). The only thing that spoilt our stay were the selfish & inconsiderate members who had booked early euro-tunnel crossings, stayed for 1 night & woke us up when they left- the first morning at 6.30, the second morning at 5.00. Being only a few miles from the terminal,I understand the site is used regularly for this purpose -but if they must, why not book a later shuttle & have some thought for the real guests.
