Lovely spot- shame about the owner!
We have stayed here twice now, the first time we were reasonably happy with the site, lovely views and close to the M1 junction.
However our second visit will be our last.
The lady owner asked us to park near the entrance in case we needed pulling out but didn't mention there was no electric hook up point nearby. The water was switched off in the field and the only water supply was adjacent to the stable block clearly marked not for consumption! Despite a lot of people tending their horses, the owners could not be located, and so we very carefully parked near to a hook up point and set up. Only to be disturbed later on by a very rude owner furious that we had supposedly dug up his grass and not parked where we were told, he was disgusted that he only earned a pittance from the CL site, and he would not listen to reason. He totally ruined the first night of our Christmas break, his lack of attention to health and safety should be a warning to any prospective visitors. We were left under no illusion that the CL was a nuisance to him and very much secondary to his other ventures. I would not recommend this site at all.
