Booked this CL to break our journey home from The Highlands, what a find. So tidy, peaceful and quiet. Hand sanitiser on all taps, EHU etc. Great field with a mown track to walk the dog he loved it. Hard standings for the vans, but mown collected grass surround. Handy for shops petrol etc, and touring the area. Not met the owner yet but was pleasant and helpful on telephone. Sure we will stay here again if in this area, thoroughly recommend.
Good to be back
How good it was to be back again at one of our top two CL's. Went back for 3weeks as soon as sites reopened. Site still as good as ever and so well maintained. There are hand gel containers at both fresh water points, waste and chemical toilet emptying points as well as one at every electric hook up. Hope to get back again in the next few weeks.

Beautiful Site
Stayed here for a week from 16 Aug 2020. Beautiful site with stunning views across to the North Lake District. Julie and Andy were very friendly and helpful. They keep the site and adjacent field in beautiful condition. It's everything we look for in a CL site. Andy gave us some great local information and we visited some places we would never have found without his tips.
The site is a great location, there are so many places you can get to from here. If you are looking for a beautiful quiet CL in this area you will enjoy this site.

our favourite CL
just spent 2 weeks on this CL, site immaculately maintained despite the Scottish summer weather
managed to walk the dogs between showers/downpours .Andy the owner and his trusty assistant
Julie cut the grass for walks around the field. no issues with flooding as site is well drained. all services to hand, peace and tranquillity prevailed despite two yappy yorkies. hopefully will be able to use the bbq next visit.
Peace and Tranquility
Only just over two weeks back from our 2nd visit to this beautiful site this year. Have been going normally twice a year for about 4 or 5 years and could never tire from the views and peace and quiet. Andy and Julie keep the site immaculate. The grass is kept short and is lifted so no trailing into van. On our last visit of 2 weeks the grass was cut at least 3 times. The floral displays are a sight to behold and are always being added to. The site is so peaceful and private. The final access is up a narrow road but it is completely straight. With a fresh water point at both the top and bottom of the site this saves a bit of walking. The grey water and toilet disposal point is as good as any I have seen on a C L. Andy and Julie are always about but never obtrusive. Look forward to April or May next year for our next visit.

Peace be with you
Just spent eight nights at this lovely CL with great scenery. Hardstanding pitches with no facilities (that suits us as we like to use our own) 16amp. Relaxing and peaceful, yet only about 3.5 miles from Dumfries. We would definitely return if in the area.

Excellent Site
Excellent CL, immaculately kept and plenty of space, well laid out facilities, super views of the pond just over the fence to the mighty Criffel in the distance. Owners very friendly and helpful. Wish we had started using this site earlier, we will be back.
A little gem
Just returned from a 9 night stay on this marvellous site, great walks for our dogs. ,peace and quiet with views towards the lake district. Facilities are good ,grass is well maintained, van on hard standing awning on grass. Will definitely return Many thanks Andy & Julie for a relaxing stay.
Lovely site
Lovely site, peaceful, spotless and well maintained. A good site for a relaxing few days away. The site charges £12 a night in low season and £14 in high season which is really good value if you have dogs and an awning like me, RUB.
Partridge Cottage, Dumfries.....a real gem
This CL is situated just 3.5 mls from the A75 (Dumfries Bypass), off the A701 ( Glasgow road). The last 1/2 ml is up a narrow but dead straight lane with a few passing places and is infrequently used by vehicles. The site has EHU and 5 level H/S pitches with a great view all the way to The Criffel and is really peaceful. The pitches are quite narrow, but wide enough for a caravan and step, and one has to cross lawned grass to get to each of them. There is a good dog walk of over 1/2 ml on a mowed path in the field in front of the site. Andy and Julie, the site owners are a font of knowledge about places to visit locally. The local lanes are quiet and good for cycling, and there's mountain bike trails at Ae Forest, 6 mls away, Mabie and at Drumlanrig House. There are lots of places to visit in the vicinity, Lochmaben and Caerlaverock Castles, Sweethearts Abbey, The Creighton in Dumfries but to name a few. There's a Morrisons and 2 Tesco Extras, an Aldi & a Lidl at Dumfries for provisions and fuel. A great place for a restful break away from it all and a bargain at £12 pn. We would definitely use this site again when staying in this area.
