Great CL site

We had an unexpected overnight stopover at Peak View as we needed work carried out to our motorhome while en route to Cornwall. However what was an unplanned stop turned out to be a lovely addition to our trip. It's a lovely peaceful location, with beautiful scenery. The owners were very helpful when we booked at the last minute and sorted out a electric cable for us as well. The local pub is 2minutes walk away the andlord and landlady are very welcoming as are the locals and it's dog friendly too. The local shop is also nearby and great for essentials like bread and milk. Had we not been on our way to Cornwall would have stayed another night, would definitley recommend this site.

Another nice CL site

I agree with the previous reviewers that Peak View is a nice CL site. Very convenient for the M5 and A38. The site is well kept, flat, neat and tidy with nicely cut grass and well spaced pitches with individual bollards on each pitch for hook-up, water, and grey water drain. On arrival, we were met by Vic who assisted us in setting up. Unfortunately, due to a severe weather warning, we decided to leave earlier than expected and Vic was very understanding with this. Many thanks.

Nice CL

Stayed here for one night when travelling to Cornwall. Easy access from the M5. Could have stayed longer as there was plenty to see and do in the area. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The site itself is lovely, the photograph doesn't do it justice. Ate at the Wellington Arms a very short walk away - the food was good and great value. I've no doubt that we will stay here again.

A great stopover but worthy of a longer stay

We stopped here on our way home from Cornwall. Easy to find from J22 of M5. Level pitches with ehu, water and grey waste to each pitch. Surrounded by lovey views and sheep in next field. Pub and shop with post office just round the corner although on the short trip we didn't sample either. Booking the site was done via email and Sean was always quick to reply, and was very obliging when I made a last minute date change. Had a lovely day in Wells and a not so good one in Burnham on sea. Somerset countryside is infinitely better than its coast. Great garden centre about a mile away and fab carvery called Brent House. The site cost £15 per night including 10 units electric,so 30units for 3 nights, we only used half that. We would definitely return and make a longer stay.

CL Par Excellence

Just returned from 5 nights at Peak View CL. Booking via email was easy and efficient with owner Sean who responded quickly to our enquiry. The site is 5 minutes from J22 M5 easy to find and access. Pitches are well spaced out on short mown grass and equipped with own EHU, Water tap and drain for grey waste which makes life so much easier. Vic who was looking after the site while we were there was very helpful and a mine of information , Giving us directions to local supermarkets, places of interest and a fabulous local farm shop and butchery. We visited Cheddar Gorge, Wells, the Mendip hills and Glastonbury which all within 30 minute drive. The Pitch fee of £15 includes 10 kw of electric per night and as we used 30kw during our 5 nights represents excellent value for money. All in all a very pleasant short break and Peak View represents what CL caravaning is all about. Highly recommended.

A Gem Of A Site

Stayed here for two nights, just for a short break, as the weather had improved. Lovely to hear the Woodpecker in the tree on arrival. Fully serviced pitches. Unfortunately, because there had been so much rain we were unable to pitch our Motorhome on the grass, but we were provided with an extra long cable, so no problem. There are two hard standing areas available. The site is reasonably and fairly priced with 10 units of electric included in the price per night. Any extra you use you pay for, which is fair. Hope we can stay there again soon.

Great CL, but keep it quiet!

We stayed here as a stop over point to Devon, which it is very convenient for, but it so much better than a stop over. Booking was very easy as was arrival and payment. Each pitch is fully serviced with electric (first 10 units free, we used 2 units for 1 night); water and grey waste. Chemical toilet is is on the corner of the site well away from the pitches, but still convenient. We had a pitch over looking the field with the sheep, with the back doors of our Campervan open it was quite idyllic. Given the proximity to the Somerset coast and the inland attractions (Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury) this would be a great site for a few days break.

May Day holiday 2022

Very nice site, enhanced hook up which is great, level site, great view. Great for visiting local attractions. Good size of entrance, easy to find. Great for using as a stopover when travelling north or south, within close proximity to the M5. We stayed for 11 nights and enjoyed the site, would definitely use this site if in the area again. Made booking with Sean over the phone, told what to do with the meter. Highly recommended

Simple but super site

We made our booking with Sean over the phone and he was so helpful from start to finish. We arrived early in the morning in time for breakfast having travelled from the Midlands and as it was Bank Holiday Sunday we wanted to avoid the traffic. The pitch was available and we set up in the lovely mown field. The 16 amp hook-up, with water and grey waste on each pitch was superb. This is a brilliant CL for a break or stop-over on your journey South. Highly recommended.

Great stop over

As everyone says, it was a great stopover on our way to Cornwall. Nothing there for us though, but the pub is now open, I believe. It wasn’t in May because their beer garden was too small. Owner was stranded in Ireland so, with no one in charge, caravans were parked all over the shop. One took up the whole central area and another used an extra pitch to park their car, leaving us to park by the chemical toilet point. Sheep kept escaping and bleating, so we had a poor nights sleep. It was ok.
