A long weekend in wildest February

We had to postpone our visit a couple of times, once because of snow (yes, snow on Anglesey. It doesn't happen very often) and then because of extremely wet conditions, but we finally made it right at the beginning of February. The weather was blustery, with flying hail on our last night, but the site is very sheltered and we weren't disturbed at all. All the services are very convenient on the site. Plus there is entertainment provided by the dogs! They are a lovely bunch and even if you are not keen on dogs there is no need to worry about them, as they never go on the CL field, they just watch you to make sure you do everything right! They are noisy when you call at the house (which is just as it should be, of course) but very friendly. There is an excellent carvery at The Bull, on the main road at the other side of Pentraeth. We were on Anglesey to continue our progress on the Coastal Path, and Sandy was very helpful ferrying us to car parks so that we were able to do linear walks. That's above and beyond normal service on a CL, isn't it, and it was much appreciated. The site fee is not cheap, but we had home comforts in the middle of winter, and taking this into account I would still recommend staying here. We enjoyed ourselves!
