Lovely little Gem

We arrived today, Rame head has been somewhere I have wanted to visit for a while so emailed the owners of the site and luckily had availability .. Easy transaction and communication excellent along with directions to get here .. the coastal road is a little tight and narrow but was no problem ..so follow the instructions as the owners know what they are talking about .. Lovely spot, fantastic views, spacious field, loads of space Between pitches with electric and water to all Of the pitches..good firm grass and we have an 8m motorhome, perfect .. Looking forward to exploring the area and doing another stretch of the SW coastal path.. If you want peace and quiet, amazing views, loads of space then you will not be disappointed .. lovely little CL site ..will definitely be back ..

Stunning Views and Location

Stunning location on top of Rame Peninsula. Keep faith with the owners directions they are spot on even though you feel like you're heading to a dead end! There is electric and tap to each pitch. Plenty of room between pitches to face any direction you wish to see sunset over the sea. Coastal path is on the doorstep, Cawsand and Kingsand can be done on a circular walk. Mount Edgcombe Country Park is within reach by cycle. Spent four nights and would have stayed longer if the site hadn't been fully booked. Access roads are a challenge, but if they can run double decker buses down them your camping unit should fit! We have a twin axle unit and there was also an 8' twin axle when we stayed. Owners very friendly and number of repeat visitors says it all.

Simply stunning

Recommended from family members we stayed here for 3 nights. Well kept site with friendly owner. Absolutely stunning views and amazing sunsets. Loved it so much we booked our return before we had left! Within walking distance to rame head peninsula and the coastal path leading to Cawsands/Kingsands!

Wonderful views

We really enjoyed our stay despite the stormy weather. There are wonderful views all around. The site is a large field with plenty of space between each unit. We hope to return

Stunning view

Stayed on the new site opposite side of the road from the old one. Plenty of space between pitches with several water taps and waste disposal in corner of field. Arrived in thick fog, unable to see more than fifty feet. But when it cleared the view is beautiful, looking out across Whitsand bay to Looe and beyond. Will return.

Stunning views and exceptionally peaceful

What a stunning location with views out to sea. We were lucky enough to have the whole site to ourselves even though it was the summer holidays. We had only booked one night but wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the peace and quiet. The walk into Cawsands along the coastal path is beautiful and just over 2 miles. The owner was very friendly and helpful and even escorted us to the site when he found us on the road looking for the site - what a welcome! My only tiny little grip is I hadn't appreciated that with church's go graveyards. The hookups are all right next to the boundary wall. That said I had a wonderful nights sleep. In September the farmer is using a different location with views the other side of the point so make the most of the next few weeks while it's still available.

Fabulous views. Quiet and perfect

We thought we had gone the wrong way as not well directed. Need to go past farm uphill past the church. Once there, very happy. Stunning views, fab walks along coastal path. Ate at the View twice, which was enjoyable. Plenty of space for vans and awnings. Stayed for 7 nights through the fabulous summer sunshine. The sea and surrounding area reminded us of Tuscany. A fabulous quiet place to stay. Worth every penny. Owner is around regularly checking on things.

Walking and staggering views

The other reviews say it all really, just a fabulous site in a quiet field on the coastal path between Cawsand and Rame. Amazing walks down to Whitsand Bay and we spotted regular buses if needed. Loads of deer on the paths and on site which explains the ticks. We didn't find any on our dog but did treat her the week before we came away and less of a problem in October. Quite exposed, narrow lanes to access; but if you have a fully stocked fridge, like walking and/or gazing at the sea and stars this location is impossible to beat.

Peace and quiet guaranteed!!

What a fantastic site this is if you like CLs and dont expect five star facilities on tap. You get a tap a bit of a wobbly disposal point and bins for recycling...what else do you need?...with these views and peace and quiet then quite frankly... nothing...It it is stunning and somewhere we just didnt want to leave...friendly owners who are there if you need anything but let you get on without being intrusive. There are great coastal walks with fantastic scenery...Cawsand Kingsand and Millbrook offer enough to keep you fed watered and entertained and its not far to go to catch Ferrys across to Plymouth if you fancied. The area has plenty to do and we travelled to Polperro, Fowey, Mevagissy Looe and many other places of interest from the site. Its that good we not only didnt want to leave, we really want to go back...why because if Carlsberg did CLs....

Beautiful location

A basic site in a beautiful location, on our second visit. Wonderful views of the sea with plenty of ships to watch as you sit and relax. The last few miles of the journey a little tricky with the narrow roads but as you would expect to get to such a lovely , peaceful location. Wonderful walks from site  and a local pottery to visit. The owner is friendly , not intrusive but is very helpful when needed. The only issue we had on this occasion was the ticks . With two dogs we were dealing with multiple ticks and ended up in a fabulous local vets who helped remote them all and provide a secondary treatment. It is a problem in the area not just this site so if you are bringing dogs check on their treatment ( Frontline was ineffective ) and bring your tick remover. The longer grass around the site may add to the problem and I'm sad to say that it would prevent  us returning again.
