Many Happy Holidays

We have been coming here for many years and that must be a vindication of how high we rate this location. Penpol Farmhouse campsite is only a very short distance away from Restroguet Creek’s tidal water’s edge. The owners, Nick and Barbara Humby, are friendly conscientious people who do everything possible to ensure the stay is a pleasant one. Nick has worked hard to develop the lightly sloping grassy orchard with apple and other fruit trees into an attractive spacious area that is so much nicer than being in the usual CL farm field. The levelled terraced pitches are well set apart and only require minimal further levelling; all have electric hook-up and a wooden picnic bench table. The grass around the pitches is well maintained and importantly, he collects the grass cuttings too! It has not been a working farm for many years and is typically a very quiet peaceful safe site. We have a Golden Retriever and there’s plenty of good nearby walks including a level walk of about 2 miles along the old tin/ copper tramway than runs beside the creek to Devoran and the dog friendly Quay Inn pub. The lovely city of Truro is only 4 miles away, it is just a few miles to Trelissick House (National Trust), and the King Harry Ferry that crosses the river for visiting places such as St Mawes and the Roseland peninsular.... Mylor harbour, the famous waterside “Pandora Inn” and Falmouth are all within easy reach of this well located site.
