If you're after manicured dead level pitches and mod con facilities, this isn't the site for you. However, if, like us, you want peace, tranquility, wonderful views, great walks out of the van and a brilliant dog friendly pub just 500m away, it's a hidden gem. Yes, you do have a short (50m) walk to get water or empty your cassette but it's hardly an ordeal. We found a good level patch for our campervan, didn't need levellers and, despite recent heavy rain, it was bone dry. The Old Dog pub is brilliant and we can heartily recommend the burgers. Oh, and it's only £5 per night!!
