Excellent

Great welcome and an excellent information pack. We were there for the weekend and despite nonstop rain had a great time. Special mention to the driver of the 15.20 number 71 bus from Nantwich who left his route in Wrenbury and brought us to the gate to the farm! It's a great circular walk from Wrenbury along the canal to Marbury where The Swan is good for refreshments although rather pricey for food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return when the sun is out!!!!

Lovely CL

Lovely quiet & peaceful site. Sarah's smiling face when she welcomed us and the information pack we knew this was going to be a good CL. Easy access and within walking distance of Wrenbury we throughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, perfect CL

I enjoyed a lovely tranquil stay here at Sarah and Oly’s CL. They gave such a friendly welcome, with a local information pack, plus personal recommendations of walks and places to eat and drink. Everything at the CL was so well organised and well presented. A lot of thought clearly put in. Easy access, flat, quiet, nice countryside views, great walking and cycling area. Highly recommended!

Easy Access and no need to Level

We had read all the positive reviews before we arrived and were not disappointed. We have a 24' twin axle 'van and frequently find the owners assurances of easy access quite untrue for our length of unit. This time we had no problem either entering or leaving the site (5* for that alone) and imagine my delight when both alko wheel locks were aligned plus we didn't have to jack it all up to level it. This is such a rare occurence as to be worth noting! We didn't sample any local hostelries but we did walk to Hack Green Secret Bunker, well worth a visit but allow at least 2hrs to walk there across fields. Most paths well signed but some stiles are over grown and not at all leg friendly. Sarah welcomed us on Friday when we arrived and gave us lots of tips on where to eat if we wanted to. Looking forward to a return visit.

Nice CL

Lovely little CL with views over the Cheshire countryside. Easy access, fairly flat field, 20 min walk to 3 good pubs and friendly and welcoming owners. We'll be back

What a great CL

We have just had two nights here and this is a great find.We received a lovely welcome and the information pack that Sarah gives each guest upon arrival, although we do know the area fairly well as we rally locally too. We second the comments about the Bhurtpore Inn, very good food and beer to be had, as always. Something new which will be of interest to those who do not like to drive, is that since Shropshire Council dropped their half of the funding of the bus route 72 at the end of April, this bus does not now go to Whitchurch (their loss) and instead does a loop around Wrenbury and importantly now passes the side of the CL going into Nantwich, stopping outside, which we used. With good nearby water and elsan facilities this CL is highly recommended. You can soon tell that Oly and Sarah are enthusiastic CL owners ! We will return very soon.

Lovely CL in the Cheshire countryside

This is a lovely quiet site with great views over the Cheshire countryside. With friendly helpful owners and its proximity to Nantwitch (15min drive away or 30min cycle ride) it's ideally situated for walking cycling or just relaxing. We would not hesitate to recommend this site. There is a lovely pub just 30min walk up the lane in Aston "The Bhurtpore Inn" serving good food and a Spar shop in Wrenbury for those forgotten groceries again about 30min walk.

A super, quiet site in a lovely location, with very helpful owners

We had a fabulous bank holiday stay on this quiet site in a lovely location, just a few miles from the pretty town of Nantwich. Sarah and Oly, the owners, were extremely friendly and helpful, with a welcome pack and even loan of their own map to help us explore the area. Their flexibility over departure time was also much appreciated. The Cheshire countryside is beautiful and makes for interesting and easy walking. A CAMRA award-winning pub is just over a mile away, as is the Llangollen Canal. Highly recommended site.

first impressions

You have to get past the booking form with draconian regs., and rather cold email to visit and find this site friendly! A country location a few fields from the traiin line with long goods trains at night. Otherwise a large flat field. Best thing was the friendly local church, and good ring of bells!

Reply from the CL owner:

Hello, glad you got home safely.

Thank you for the feedback regarding our booking email, whilst always difficult to express intonation within written text we will review this legally essential, but perhaps presently functional, correspondence. We were glad that you found us a friendly bunch upon arrival though, and we too enjoyed our evening chats!

The village church bells a mile away are the envy of many, and next time you visit hopefully it will coincide with one of the historic steam train outings.  You may need a long telephoto lens to capture it from our CL, but they love our little rural train line, taking passengers from our “olde worlde” village request stop station down through the stunning Shropshire Marches and Welsh Valleys.

All the best, and thanks again for our daughter’s balloon!
