We arrived on site at the time agreed with the owner, but there was no-one at home, so we pitched and had to visit the house 5 times over 2 days before finally finding someone to pay. We spent 5 days on site and didn't see a sign of anyone who lived there, so not very welcoming. As mentioned on other reviews, there is still no water point by the waste, just a couple of buckets for campers to fill and carry. The toilet is adequate but didn't appear to have been cleaned during the time we were there. There was no television or mobile phone reception (unsure if we just picked the wrong pitch). However, on the plus side, access was good, price was ok (£12 pn) and the site is very pretty, but could be vastly improved. Nice to have the free range chickens visiting.
