Loved this site

A beautiful and tranquil setting.  We spent a week here in July 2014. Handy for the Lligwy beach and Moelfre village.  Good hook up water and waste disposal.  Mr Aron was friendly and helpful.  Would stay again if in the area.

Peaceful and tranquil

Although there are only basic facilities on site, the beauty of the site makes up for it. Plas Llygwy is set on a farm surrounded by fields within walking distance of the fabulous beach of Llygwy. On the farm are 3 ancient monuments. Close villages include Moelfre which has great pubs and cafés all set around the pretty harbour. Whilst there a visit to Parys Mountain is a must. Also, Penmon and Newborough Forest. Anglesey is blessed with beautiful places and people. Go see for yourself.

Tranquil site

Beautiful , quiet location. Ancient monuments within metres and ample walking for dogs straight from site in country or to beaches. Views stunning and very lucky to have site to ourselves during lambing so surrounded by lambs and sheep! Weather not good , but is was March, but still could see sea from pitch. Facilities basic , welcome friendly as met by owner as arrived but then left to alone although you knew they were there if needed. Would love to return in better weather.

A wonderful peaceful site!

If you want peace, beauty and magical historic places to visit as well as a beach within a short distance then this is the place to go! The location is fantastic with its ruined chapel, ancient burial chamber and 'romano-british' village all on-site. The nearby beach is also great! It is a simple site- just a field with water and electric hook-ups, and that is all I want! Personally I hope this place stays just as it is and I would love to live here and keep it all to myself as I adore it! I intend to return frequently!

A wonderful CL!

We have just returned from a short break at Plas Lligwy and couldn't wait to leave a review! The site was everything we look for in a CL... Quiet, picturesque and close to the beach with lots of interesting walks. The historical sites were a real bonus; a medieval chapel, ancient village and a burial chamber from 2,500BC! We arrived quite late on the Thursday evening and didn't bother the owner - everthing was well laid out and easy to find. We met him on Friday morning and he was very friendly and helpful. The CL is on a working farm which is down quite a long and narrow road, access was not a problem but it does mean that you'd need to drive or cycle to a pub or the shops! We would recommend this site to everyone and we will be booking to stay again later in the year.

Fantastic small CL

This is what it's all about - a really beautiful location, close to the beach and not far from the facilities of Moelfre, but very peaceful. The nearby remains of Din Llugwy (ancient Romano-British village) are a treat. NB no loo block - you'll need to use your caravan's facilities!

We'll be coming back again

A slightly narrow approach road but once installed we loved this CL. With fields of sheep all around and a distant view of the sea (if you peep through the trees) we felt we really were in one of the nicest bits of Anglesey. The coast path, an ancient village, a burial cairn and abandoned church can all be reached on foot. So this one has been marked in our book as one to return to.

Highly recommended

This CL Site was recommended to us by friends. We have stayed twice, both times we spend 10 nights and we had an excellent holiday. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity you cannot better this site. The owners are very welcoming, helpful and easy going, making you feel at ease quickly. The Site is kept tidy and the grass is cut at regular intervals. A visit from the odd rabbit and the sheep in the next field, firmly remind you that you are in the countryside. The site is close to Lligwy beach, which is a great exercise area for dogs. I can’t fault this site and will be going back in 2013.

The CL site is situated on a working sheep farm, surrounded by open fields it is a real escape. Spring time is especially good when the surrounding fields are filled with new born lambs and their mothers and it is welcome start to the caravan season. The site is well off the road down the farm track, but this makes it more appealing and walking back to the road bring you to the ancient ruins of an iron age village and an ancient chapel on the top of the hill. About half a mile away is Lligwy beach and there are excellent walks along the cliffs, in one direction taking you to hidden beaches and the other into Moelfre. If you are heading into Moelfre, I would suggest that you turn right at the end of the farm track as this takes you down a very long hill rather than having to walk back up after a four mile walk. If you are looking for places to eat, the meals at the Pilot Boat are excellent and back towards the Menai bridge the Bull has a carvery every day which is excellent value. We have visited the site five times so far, and only started caravaning eighteen months ago. The grassed field is always well maintained and the owner is most helpful if you can catch him, as he is always busy running his farm. On one occasion the Menai bridge was closed to high sided vehicles because of high winds, the owner quickly made arrangements that we could return a few days later to collect the van. The only hesitation I have in recommending this site is that others will find it equally appealing and we may not get a reservation

A lovely CL and location

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a lovely short break. We enjoy the peace and tranquility of CLs and we certainly found this here. The site was well maintained and all services were to a high standard. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A good location for the lovely beaches nearby.
