A very pleasant CL

A well kept site, lawn like a bowling green! Plenty of space and good shade for hot days. Good toilet room with washbasin and information. We found this an excellent base for cycling, especially the loop to Ludlow via Elton. Magnificent. Easy access off road. A little traffic noise but we didn't find it a problem. We'll be back! A pity this review facility doesn't allow photos.

Good location for visiting National Trust properties

This was our second visit as we have friends who have moved nearby. It's such a convenient spot: walks for the dog from the site, either to Orleton with the Post Office/stores and pub or over the fields and very close to several NT properties. Whilst there, this time for a wedding, we ate at The Oak at Wigmore (to die for), bought meat from the Farm Shop at Luston, again thoroughly recommend, and breakfasted at C'sons in Ludlow, right on the river. Very pleasant owners and very reasonably priced.

Excellent visit

whilst touring in motorhome, visited this lovely farm site, run by a lovely lady, well kept area level pitches well maintained, toilet very useful. Easy walk (3 minute) to local PH The Maidenhead, excellent owners, very friendly with a good choice of menu. The site and PH were that good we stayed a further night. Ideal location for visiting National Trust properties. Will return in the future.

Spot on for us!

The CL is situated midway between Ludlow and Leominster, on the B4361 about 2 mls from the A49. It has a good wide entrance, and 5 level H/ S pitches, 4 of which are behind a high hedge with limited views over fields, while the other looks east towards the road. There is a toilet and shower, but these were closed during our visit due the virus. The road is quite busy during the day but very quiet at night. There are a couple of footpaths close to the site, one takes you onto Olerton village playing fields. Olerton has a small general store, and The Boot pub. The other path goes through an orchard (free windfall apples when we were there) and out between a pair if cottages onto a quiet lane suitable for dogwalking. There are plenty of places of interest close by, Ludlow with it's castle, as well as Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, both NT properties, etc. Leominster has both an Aldi and a Tesco, and Ludlow it renowned for its food shops. The site is good value at £14 pn and definitely one we will use again.

Good sized hardstanding pitches amongs closely mown lawns.

The site is easy to reach from the A49 about 5 miles south of the lovely town of Ludlow. The grounds and pitches are flat and beautifully maintained, Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the toilet failities which are basic and not kept clean. Ludlow town is a very pleasant place to visit, and Ludlow Farm Shop, just north of the town is a great palce to stock up on quality (but no cheap) local produce, We visited Croft Castle (NT), nearby and Stokesay Castle (English Heritage) a few miles north of Ludlow.

Lovely site

Beautiful well kept site the pitches are large and the facilities are all in good working order. Very handy for Ludlow and there is a bus service nearby during the week. The pub is a few minutes walk away and serves lovely food. We will definitely return to this site.

excelent location for motorhomes

A pleasant site with good hard standing, enough grass for awning between pitches . There is 2 toilets with a little amount of work the one could be made into a shower and toilet which would be useful. Not easy to find electric power points through hedge on other side. locally good park and ride plenty of room for a motorhome . Pub down road 2 min walk. good for beer but expensive for food and not great for the price.T.V. good ..Buses do run from outside pub .

Simple but Perfect

Lovely well maintained site. Basic facilities but inexpensive price reflects this. Handy for Orelton local shop and 2 dog friendly pubs. Only The Boot pub has WIFI. Road noise didn't bother us at all. Poor EE mobile signal. Very nice, central location. Enjoyed our 3night stay there and will definitely return.

Well maintained site.

Very well maintained site hard standing for caravan with space for awning on grass alongside.Grass was short, cut regularly with no cuttings left. Close to Orleton and not far to Ludlow. Only downside was that there was no pavement on the busy road in to the village. Very nice CL though.

Lovely place

Lovely site, with pitches well looked after. A little close together, but fine if you follow the car - van - awning rule. Hook-up points not obvious at first as they're through the hedge. Easy access to Ludlow and local walking, and Orleton village is a nice place to explore.
