Pleasant stay with terrific views.

Despite the weather we had a great stay here in early August. Stunning views on both sides. Pleasant owners and with great facilities area that was spotless. It was quiet and felt secure. We would certainly return if in the area. Thank you

One week was too short a stay

One of our best CL experiences! Despite recent rain, the well-drained grass pitch was dry. Waste and water facilities were well-organised and spotless and the restriction on dogs was greatly appreciated. Just a 30 min walk into Wells too. We shall be back!

The Perfect Location

A brilliant location for visiting Wells and surrounding places. The site is situated to give views overlooking the town on one side and the Glastonbury Tor on the other across beautiful countryside. Slightly sloping so some levelling is necessary but a well kept CL with extremely tidy facilities. Nina warned us in advance to enter the site carefully as we towed a trailer and no issues arose. An excellent host providing more than adequate info about all to see and do and how to to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and would certainly recommend a visit. Thanks Nina 👍

Relaxed and easy

Perfect welcome with useful map and information from Nina. Lovely lady. We accessed the site and left in 7.5 metre Motorhome plus bikes without any problem. Top end of what we would wish to pay (£25) but that said beautiful rural location, minimum road noise, fabulous views, clean well maintained site with security gate so we were very happy there. Lovely walk across fields to Wells, interesting city and very quiet almost traffic free cycle to Glastonbury. Would not hesitate to return.

A long weekend in Wells

A great positioned site with open views to Wells Cathedral to the north and Glastonbury Tor to the south. A tight entrance that needs care when towing but once in then the route to the field is easy. Minor levelling required but the views are fantastic. Nina was helpful and provided a good map for getting into Wells and the highlights to visit. She showed us where the water, waste disposal and bins were; clean, well arranged and discrete. An easy and enjoyable cross country walk to the city through corn field, past blooming hedgerows with butterflies and dragonflies flying around. Lots to see and do in the city with the Cathedral and Bishops Palace being highlights. Independent shops and lots of places for food add to the visit. Cycling from the site to follow the Syren Bells trail to Glastonbury Tor and back makes an enjoyable and varied 20 miler, with a climb right at the end back to the site. A site we will definitely use when next in the area.

Fantastic site to visit Wells

Great little site close to the city of Wells. Nina was really friendly and helpful giving us lots of information about the surrounding area. We walked into Wells and back across the fields which was a lovely walk. We will definitely be revisiting soon.

Simply wonderful!

5 stars is hardly sufficient for this site - from the welcome to the departure everything was prefect ..... even the English weather for a change. Slightly narrow entrance but easy enough to swing at an angle to enter in our 7m+ motorhome. Pitches almost flat but useful to take levelling blocks to adjust the odd half inch or so. Waste and drinking water etc. in an immaculate small area screened from the main site. Road noise minimal aside from tractors to-in and fro-ing. The most beautiful views from both sides od the site - North to Wells and the hills beyond and South towards Glastonbury Tor and open fields. Wells an easy walk or bike ride away and Glastonbury easy to cycle to on quiet roads. Pubs in Wells rather busy however the three a short distance by bike or car away in Wookey were all decent with good range of drinks and food and outdoor seating. The BEST strawberries and clotted cream a short drive or cycle away towards Cheddar - if biking the route via Wookey Hole is rather steep but keeps you off the main A road and the first strawberry kiosk is handily placed without needing to cycle on the main road -ev bike suggested though unless veyr fit! All in all - highly recommended!

Very tight access

We knew the site had a tight access, but it is a tight access. Friendly welcome with everything on site explained. The pitches are all slopping on very uneven ground, the grass needs cutting shorter more often. We pitched away from the country road which could be noisy when tractors and vans drive past. The service area was well set out, clean and tidy, good TV and mobile reception. Good location for Wells.

.

Lovely little site with great view of the Tor to the South and Wells to the North. Nina is very welcoming and helpful. Pitches are spacious. Site is well kept with tidy well screened area for the bins and waste. The only issue you might have is the access is tight, our Rimini is 7.1 m and anything longer might be a problem.

Lovely C/L

Nice C/L in a great location with easy access to Wells, Street and Glastonbury, good size pitches amongst a few fruit trees, well laid out area for clean and waste water with excellent recycling facilities, pleasant walk through fields to Wells (Took us 20 mins) to Morrisons and about 5-10 mins more to the centre of Wells, nice views to Wells in one direction and to the Tor at Glastonbury in the opposite direction, Nina was very welcoming on arrival will return.
