We stayed at this site for four days in October 2017. We thought the nightly charge of £17 at this time of year for a CL was expensive. We booked this site from the 2017/2018 sites directory but this proved to be somewhat out of date because it states is lawned with no hard standings whereas there are now five hard standings. Hard is an appropriate description because the pitches are surfaced with very course stone chippings which are not all user friendly, especially if you have an awning. Although the owner states the pitches are level, this is not the case fore and aft and levelling blocks are required, albeit some are supplied. Importantly the sites directory does not make clear that this CL is part of a large campsite comprising two fields. Yes, the directory says the loos and showers are shared but we suspect these may be oversubscribed in the season. The campsites were closed when we visited but we very much doubt the description 'peaceful' is appropriate in the season. We are happy using our own facilities because we use CL's most of the time but if you don't then be aware that there are only three showers for everyone. The toilet emptying point consists of a pipe in the ground on one of the campsite fields, which is a fair walk from the CL across rough ground with a full toilet cassette.
