I agree fully with the previous reviews for this excellent CL. We stayed here over a long weekend in January 2020, it's in a good location close to Evesham and Cheltenham. The owner gave us a great welcome and also a sheet with local information. I have no hesitation in recommending this site to other members.
Welcome Back
Our second visit to Rails End to enjoy a lovely area for walking & cycling with the bonus of a good pub just 5 mins walk from the site. The owners, Jackie & Andrew made us very welcome & maintain a well functioning CL & always very helpful if needed. We especially appreciated being able to use common sense when pitching without the need for lots of "petty rules"! A lovely natural site that is not over manicured. Perfect!

A warm welcome
At the risk of more members discovering this terrific site preventing us revisiting I can only say that this is possibly the best And most welcoming site we have stayed on. Easy to get too from the motorway and yet hidden in the countryside, Rails End is well laid out spacious. All facilities are almost adjacent to each pitch and we’ll maintained. The owners Jackie and Andrew make you feel so welcome and are a ‘library’ of useful information.
A good stopover or base for relaxing, sightseeing, walking and cycling.
We've just spent a very pleasant three days at Rails End CL in the pretty village of Ashton Under Hill, between Tewkesbury and Evesham just off the A46. The M5/M50 junction is a few miles away so it makes a good stopover or meeting point.
The stone-built Star Inn is a short walk away on the lower slope of Bredon Hill and a bus stop for Tewkesbury and Evesham is next to it.
The hill is covered in nice walks and the impressive hillfort of Kemerton Camp is at its far end, with views over Wales, the Malverns and the Cotswolds. You can cycle right round it too.
The site has two pitches that are suitable for use by motorhomes in wet weather as they have plastic grid matting installed. Otherwise it's grass but is very well maintained.
There's no WC or shower but the chemical disposal and water points are very easy to get at. The owners are friendly and lent us an OS map and a book on local walks.
We've got loads left you do around there so we'll be back. Recommended!
Another visit to this lovely CL
Second visit to this super CL. Came especially for open gardens weekend which Jackie had told us about last summer and the gardens were great. Would highly recommend this site as it has lovely large pitches, very helpful and friendly owners and is set in a great village. The local pub is a real bonus. Lovely food at a reasonable price. We will be back again.
A lovely lady
What a wonderful peaceful site and a lovely lady to meet you. good public transport to Evesham or Tewkesbury. The site has easy access and is well maintained, a good site all round. Sue and Terry

Warm welcome to a peaceful site
We booked Rails End Nursery as a suitable location for visiting the nearby Malvern Hills. Perfect for this and also lots of lovely places nearby to visit in the Cotswolds area. Our visit to Cheltenham was an easy drive. The site is convenient for the M5 and is located just off the A46, although surprisingly there is little or no road noise (and I am picky on this!). Do follow the instructions for access as the alternative route is a no-no for caravans and motorhomes.
Jackie welcomed us to the site and gave clear directions to our pitch number, but said we could pitch however we wanted in that area - and it was big. We were with friends and had a quiet corner to ourselves between mature hedging, and really enjoyed our week long stay. Lots of bird life to watch as well as rabbits. The nearby Star Inn (10 mins walk from site) serves very good and reasonably priced food, there are lots of nearby shops for supplies within easy driving distance. Fresh eggs can be purchased from Jackie, and they were lovely. All in all we had a great week and would return if ever in the area again.
A Gorgeous Informal CL with exceptionally friendly and helpful owners
What can I say, that hasn't already been said. Jackie and Andrew and so very kind and helpful, and we were the couple who needed the Gazebo for extra shade! You can site your van any which way. You have several idyllic pitches to choose from, the birdsong and wild life are prolific, the whole place is a bit like The Darling Buds of May. So peaceful, and yet pubs and shops easy to get to. A bus stop close by, where you can catch a bus to either Evesham, or Tewksbury and places in between. This is just a wonderful site. If you want club site facilities and to line up like you are on parade, then go elsewhere and leave this site for those of us who appreciate its charm. Thank you Jackie and Andrew for your help and the loan of the lovely Gazebo that was a life-saver in this incredible summer we are having.

The extra mile!
Stunning yes, great location yes, peaceful yes . Yes to all superlatives . It is wonderfully located if you want peace and quiet, great walks in scenic splendour or proximity to small historic market towns, a great pub ten minutes away and small garage cum shop a short walk away for essentials. Park any which way you like in very large spaces. But it is the owners who make this c.l. a jewel in the clubs collection. A lovely welcome, time to explain and inform as required or just a general chat and a willingness to go that extra mile as witnessed when a gazebo was brought to a van requiring extra shade.
Oh and the free range multi coloured eggs delighted both us pensioners and grandchildren alike!
We will be back!
Beautiful site in a stunning location...
We have just returned from a wonderful three night break in our motorhome at Rails End Nursery. We received a very warm welcome from Jackie and Andrew and chose to set up on pitch 5 which was very secluded and private. All of the pitches are very spacious and benefit from being in a most beautiful location brimming with wildlife. We woke every morning to the gorgeous sound of bird song and the whole site is very dog friendly. We were very fortunate that during our visit the stunning village of Ashton under Hill was hosting it’s annual open gardens weekend which was amazing. The village is totally ‘picture postcard’ with a lovely little pub at the heart of it. We would thoroughly recommend Rails End Nursery and will definitely return.
