Friendliest CL in great location

Booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for 5 as we didn't want to come home. So peaceful here, great sized pitches, exceptionally helpful and friendly owners together with Suzie, their lovely dog. As others have said, this is a sloping site, but does did not cause an issue, serviced pitches which is a bonus and very clean toilet and wash basin. Access to cycle rides, great walks, Delamere Forest, Manley Mere, Helsby Hill and lots of other places of interest nearby. One point, when you come into the site go straight on and through the farmyard, makes it much easier to get on the pitch and Jane will come into the yard to see you. We will return here, loved our stay, thank you Jane.

Fabulous site

We have just returned from two nights at Rangeway Bank Farm. The site is lovely, albeit we were spoilt with fabulous weather which always helps. Jane and her husband were very welcoming. The site is spacious with lots of room between the pitches. Each pitch is service with EHU, water and grey waste disposal. There is a toilet available on the site as well. We had one of the lower pitches and found it perfectly flat. There are good walks directly from the site and fantastic cycle routes. We did a couple of circular tours through the surrounding villages and also some of the paths through Delamere Forest. We had lunch at The Goshawk which was lovely and very good value for the quality of the food. Would highly recommend this site and we hope to return soon.

Delamere Forest

Rangeway Bank is close to the Delamere Forest ideal for walking and cycling. All the pitches have water and grey waste, you may need blocks on the lower pitches. The Goshawk is a lovely pub serving meals in walking distance,

Hidden Gem

We have just spent two nights at this charming site, set within a couple of miles of the Delamere Forest. The site offers 5 hard standing pitches all with full serviced . The site is dog friendly and there are beautiful walks adjacent to the pitches stretching out into the countryside. Some of the pitches are slightly sloping and levelling chick may be required. Our pitch came with blocks to assist us which I thought was a kind gesture. For a short break or longer it is somewhere we would be happy to return to. Carolyn & Robert Haydock

a peacefull place

What a wonderful site, with fully serviced pitches (water, electric and waste,) which was/is a great benefit to our stay(s). This was our third visit & we've tried out two of the five pitch positions. Pitches are of a good size & are surprisingly fairly level considering the slope of the site, we had no trouble putting up our awning on either pitch we've been allocated. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and always very helpful. Each visit and has proved to be very peaceful & restful, which we needed! This is an amazing CL, hope it doesn't get too busy as we want to come back regularly.

Fabulous!

What wonderful little gem this is, set in rolling Cheshire countryside within walking distance of Delamere Forest and a host of other attractions. It's beautifully manicured with fully serviced pitches, all at a modest price. Jane and family are lovely people and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They run an immaculate farm where you can buy the best free range eggs ever (in season). Can't wait to return.

Lockdown holiday

All our holiday plans cancelled in October 2020, so looked for somewhere local just to get away. Found Rangeway Bank Farm in Sites Guide, looked it up and booked 4 nights. So glad we did, only 18 miles from home but a million miles away from big city life. Quite even though on working farm, and easy for everywhere of interest. Delamere Forest accessible on foot from site. Chester 9 miles away, Chester Zoo,The Wirral, Candle Workshops and Crocky Trail all easy drive away. Mr + Mrs Challenor welcoming hosts. Even though so near to home we will be back.

Absolutely lovely

I was undecided whether to write this review, mostly to be selfish as I want to go there more often! We went there in July for 5 days and stayed for 3 weeks! It is a lovely site with lovely owners. Yes, the toilet has open bricks, but it’s clean. Yes, the pitches aren’t always flat, which led to a few hilarious moments (especially after gin). Neither of these affected our time in any way whatsoever. We were there with another family and both of us had awnings up for the duration of our stay with no problem. Delamere is a close walk and we went there regularly with 5 children and 5 dogs (between both families!). Jane, the owner, is absolutely lovely. She is always approachable and friendly. The children (and some of the adults) also loved watching the complexities of farm life. At the end of the 3 weeks, we’d been there so long that our camper battery was completely dead. The owners were more than helpful, taking a battery out of the biggest tractor I have ever seen so we could jump start it. Above and beyond, especially after a 60 mile bike ride! I can not recommend this site enough.

Lovely site

Good points- warm welcome. Level pitches. Plenty of space. Good price. Beautiful location. Easy reach of Chester and other attractions. Bad points - slopes mean awnings can only be used on pitches 1 and 2. This was fine for us as we had no intention of using one this weekend. The toilet is dire. Small brick room. Bare brick inside. Could do with a plasterer and some tarting up. Had a lovely weekend and potentially could return.
