The owner of the site was very welcoming - just happened to be coming to gate when we arrived. He has been very helpful, friendly and came for a daily chat.
Great stay, made to feel very welcome.
The site itself is well setup and totally flat. Owners were very friendly and made check in very easy and stress free. Slightly worried as it was next to a yard but you hardly notice this and this doesn't spoil the site.
Only one downside was that we heard loud motor bike racing on a local road in the evenings, locals using this as a race track. This didn't spoil our holiday.
Perfect location for both attractions on the isle of Sheppey and Kent itself.
Would not hesitate to return
FYI. We heard some really interesting bird song, not something we have every heard before. We aren't bird watchers but I suspect if you were this would be the place for you.
Peaceful, well run, fantastic location, highly recommended.
We visited this campsite with our 11 year old twins. We had a fantastic time, they loved the big open space for playing ball games and the location was fantastic for exploring the local area. Phoebe and Mark were wonderful hosts, really welcoming and they were happy to give us recommendations of places to visit. The facilities were in perfect working order and kept spotlessly clean at all times and the process of checking in/ out was completely hassle free and very relaxed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this campsite to anyone wanting to explore the Kent region. We visited Canterbury, Whitstable, Isle of Sheppey and the Oare nature reserve. We ate at The Three Tuns pub in Lower Harwood a couple of times and would recommend it if you like good hearty pub fare with huge portions! We also popped into Iwade and went to the local pub which was under refurbishment but full of friendly locals. There was also a good local shop and take-away in Iwade which had all the basics. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, we will be back.

Nice CL site
Looked for a basic CL site to suit a few days in Kent, this was highly rated.
Owner was very friendly showed us where everything was, has a toilet on site and also a shower (£1 coins for the show, no idea how long that lasts as did not use it)
Site was level so did not need anything, it does have EHU included but it is another CL that shows a different price that the listed one, so is actualy £12 per night with an extra £1 to have an awning, so £13 per night not £10!
No real issues other than that although a lot of ruts and dips where we was pitched up.
An OK site that does include EHU.
We're sure we'll be back
This site suited our purposes very well. We wanted easy access to Elmley Marshes for photography purposes which was a few minutes car journey away. The site was easy to find, access was good, it was tidy and well-kept, the gate wasn't too difficult to open and we were welcomed by the owner. We didn't have occasion to use the toilet or shower as we have those on board. As well as Elmley Marshes we had a day out in Whitby and Herne Bay which were about 20-25 minutes away.
Another good CL for us in the future
Spent an enjoyable week here in Sept helped by fatastic weather. Pheobe made us most welcome and checked the site each day without being intrusive. Easy access and good waste disposal. We were visiting friends in the area who visited us on site and were made most welcome as well. We will be using this CL again when in the area next year. Thanks for an enjoyable stay, see you soon. Very Convenient
We found the site quite easy with our satnav, we were then met by Mrs Jenkins a very helpful lady who showed us where everything was. This site was a little too wet for us to park on the grass, but there is a hard standing area for us to use. The shower and WC container was clean and served our purpose. We spent 4 days on site in total, and visited Rochester castle, Chatham docks and then Sheerness. Yes we would go back to this site again, perhaps in dryer weather when we could park on the grass area. Finally thank you to Mrs Jenkins for seeing us before we left.
Recent Stay 21st September 2015
This site is a lovely peaceful site, we were a little apprehensive after looking on Google Earth, as it seemed to be surrounded by commercial units. But were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that the site itself was well organised and Pheobe and Mark have made efforts with extensive planting to hide the units, once established the site will be even better. Pheobe gave us a very warm welcome and was attentive but not intrusive on our stay offering advise on the local area etc. The toilet and shower are a bit dated but kept clean. The shower was £1 but there was ample time and plenty of hot water. One word of advise if you are using an awning you will need sand pegs. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be going back in the future.

A welcoming site
We booked in for one night but ended up staying for six. The site is very well kept and peaceful. The shower/toilet/changing room pod may be old but it is very well maintained and very efficient. The best thing of all is the warm welcome from Phoebe and Mark who go out of their way to make their guests feel at ease. By far the best CL I have ever stayed at and it will now be a regular stopover whenever we head for the channel ports. This site is also well place for touring the whole of Kent with all the attractions only a short drive away.

Good base for local attractions
We stayed here for 4 nights in spring 2015. The site has easy access and good level pitches on mown grass. Toilet and shower facilities are basic but clean and adequate (one toilet+1 shower), although might be a tad busy if the site is full, as the toilet and shower are in the same cabin.
Owners very friendly and helpful, and have worked hard to make the site attractive.
It made an excellent base for visiting local attractions such as Chatham Dockyard, Canterbury, and the Kent coast. There is a pub within walking distance that does typical pub food but there is a much better one a short drive away called "The Three Tuns" at Halstow - ask owners for directions. Would not hesitate to recommend and we will stay again - an excellent CL.
