A fairly newly built but badly constructed site on slope with grey chippings, many washed away to bottom where the five main pitches are left bare and v muddy. These have not been carefully levelled so blocks required. No grass to sit out. EHU per pitch, and water per 2 pitches. Good Wi-Fi in old phone box at top of site, but does not reach pitches. Nice views up head of valley and over high quality lodges below. Grey water disposal a joke! Small grid in centre of sloping slab so water runs off and down to pitches. Stayed 4 nts. On one night there were 8 units. CL rules??? Owner said she does not follow an online booking site so gets overbooked, and also allowed one arrival to stay without a booking. Greedy? Lovely location (though about 1 mile walked to the lake head through Kielder village which is ghastly!) Just not worth top price of £25 when several basic faults. It’s a shame.
