I had second thoughts on leaving this review, considering instead to be selfish and keeping this beautiful little site for ourselves! Rayland really is a little gem that we have visited a number of times, despite only living 30 minutes away. It’s our bolthole away from the laundry, teenagers, DIY and countless other reasons for having a bolthole, and it’s a short walk across Shropshire’s countryside into the beautiful town of Bridgnorth with all the local facilities you could need. Do not miss Beamon & Sons Butcher or Catherine’s Bakery, plus the host of cafes and hostelries! And the open market every Saturday morning on the High St matches any French market I’ve visited (although the market on the car park is a little more what you would expect from an English market ie chavvy).
Rayland ticks all our boxes for a quiet and peaceful stay in the country with excellent amenities nearby and we highly recommend it. There’s even a pub within a 5 minutes’ walk!
Lots of pitching options
A enormous grassy CL field and with 2 electric cables we were able to pitch in a great private sunny spot.
As mentioned in other reviews great location for a walk into Bridgnorth, which is a thriving town with lots of independent shops. Many national trust properties within a short drive.
We pitched well away from the road having read about traffic noise but found ourselves disturbed in the early morning by howling dogs at a local kennels. We live in a very quiet area so perhaps our tolerance for noise is very acute.

Lovely Tranquil Site
We enjoyed our short break at Rayland. A lovely, tranquil site and perfect for exploring local Bridgnorth and surrounds. The owner, Sue was great with communication and we will definately spend more time here when we next visit our family in Bridgnorth

Perfect for us
We had a lovely 3 day break over the Coronation bank holiday weekend. Sue and Ade welcomed us onto the site and made sure we had everything we needed. We wanted easy walking access into Bridgenorth and the site location is perfect in that respect. It's a 20 minute walking through fields on a easy path to navigate. It's a short walk over a field to the nearest pub the Halfway house, so it ticks all of our boxes. We will definitely be returning, thank you both :)
A beautiful site
Just returned from 10 peaceful and relaxing days at this beautiful site. That despite heavy rain for much of the time. I agree and endorse what others have said about the welcome. We had the view over a small fenced off pond, which despite it being small had moorhens and ducks visiting it, together with numerous garden birds flitting in the trees.
It was a lovely stay thank you Sue and Abe for providing this wonderful setup

Lovely break on welcoming site
We were welcomed by Sue who showed us the site. There was lots of room, we could go where we wanted. She explained the walk to Bridgnorth and the path to the local pub. We were staying for 2 weeks so she told us of some of the local places of interest. The site was large and very well kept. We had a great fortnight.

We will be back…
What a stunning CL and positivity vast! Country views and choice of pitches in full sun or shade, worth taking an extra electric cable, although there is more than enough space to pitch near to the hook ups. Bit of levelling required depending where you pitch but nothing out of the ordinary.
Only having 3 nights we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all the walks on the doorstep and as mentioned in previous reviews easy walks to the town of Bridgnorth…delightful and local pub..no time to sample sadly. Sue was away when we visited but her son Ben made himself known to us and was very welcoming. Approach easy on good roads so expect a bit of passing traffic but quiet and peaceful at night. We will most certainly be returning in the future for a longer stay and highly recommend.
So relaxing
Beautiful site. Very warm welcome from Ade. Lovely walk into Bridgnorth across the fields. Will definitely be back.
peaceful and relaxing.
We came across this site by accident walking the dog and staying at the “Half Way Public House” site just around the corner. What an absolute find, it’s so peaceful and quiet, 20 minute walk across the fields and your into Bridgnorth and 15 minutes in the same sort of direction you come across Daniel’s Mill tea room. You are left to park where you want within reason. Booked again in a couple of weeks and will definitely just keep going back.
Lovely peaceful site
Great welcome from Sue
We had the field to ourselves
Sue went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
Even delivered antihistamines to me as I’d been bitten 2 nights before
