Excellent site

Lovely site, really clean and tidy and well maintained. The owner is friendly and helpful, the position of the site is really good for exploring and is a short drive from the centre of York yet is in beautiful countryside. This was our first outing and we really enjoyed it, the kids loved it too, especially the sheep and horses. Will be returning and would recommend to friends and family. Thanks again

Perfect site very friendly owners

We visited this site in March and it was very wet but we expected this having had snow earlier in the week. The site is lovely and with the use of the pool and tennis court in summer it is perfect. We went on a walk along the river and around the woods and my 2 children really enjoyed it. The owners were really chatty and friendly and with the horse etc around the atmosphere on the site was really nice. This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning.

Worth a return visit

I agree with Kelly, this is a lovelly CL site with a warm warm welcome. The facilities are excellent with a swimming pool and tennis court. We stayed on the overflow field and I prefer that being nearer the loo. It is an equestrian center so there are horses about and we were their over a summer camp for budding riders, so it was interesting watching them learning to jump. but it was not intrusive. The only downfall i could pick was no showers. Again agree with kelly no more reviews its one to keep secret. We will return and want a space.

Red House Estate

This is a lovely CL with easy access and a warm, friendly welcome. The facilities are excellent with a swimming pool and plenty of space. Best to have your own facilities as the loos are a long walk away (especially for little legs!) but the upgraded electricity hookups are very reliable. Lots to do and see around York. The equestrian events held on the site are great fun and everyone is so friendly. I can only think that there has been no earlier review because everyone who has found this site wants to keep it secret.
