Gem of a site

Another visit to Resthaven which is an ideal base for exploring the Devon countryside and numerous places to visit. The site is well maintained and has its own dog walk area. It is a peaceful sight and if you watch carefully you can even see a deer! The owners are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Definitely worth a visit.

When it comes to things to do Resthaven Farm CL is very central to lots of popular destinations

You can read our full review and photos here: https://www.theroadtwospoons.co.uk/blog/resthaven-farm-cl-review Resthaven Farm CL is an off grid family-run CL based in North Devon. Situated just 3 miles from the center of the famous Woolacombe village with its 3 mile sandy beach and under 3 miles from Ilfracombe, home to Damien Hirst’s statue Verity. Owned by Bill Ley and run by daughter Ann, Resthaven CL has been open for over 40 years and offers a warm welcome for new and returning visitors. Ann and her family take great pride in Resthaven Farm and want all their visitors to enjoy their stay and the abundance of local attractions. To gain CL status a new entrance was created to the field, which makes it easy to both enter and leave (even if you have a large motorhome or caravan).

A little gem of a campsite

We love this CL site with its stunning views, it is a gem of a site. It is so tranquil and peaceful. There is a little road noise but it is not disturbing. It is close to the Tarka trail which is fabulous for walking and cycling. There is a bridleway within 2 minutes walking which takes you meandering through the beautiful Devon countryside. There is a pub nearby which we have visited many times in previous years. The addition of a shed with seating area is a bonus together with the newly done flower garden and lights. The grass is nice and tidy and short. A path has been cut through the big field next door ideal for dog walking. Recycling is labelled and organised. Nothing is to much trouble for the helpful owners. A must for a return visit. đŸ™‚

Good location and countryside views

Entrance on main road, almost level, overlooking fields on one side, views very nice. Close to the road, but shielded by trees. Fresh water tap, bins and chemical waste disposal. Owner friendly and helpful. There needs to be a tap and hose by the chemical waste point. Good location for Ilfracombe and Woolacombe.
