Peace and Relaxation!

I almost don't want to tell people how lovely this site is in case it gets super busy and I can't get a pitch!! But here goes ... I have visited three times now over the last two years, and each visit has been a real tonic after the stresses of the Covid era. The site is very well kept and peaceful, the facilities are spotless (very important during the first Covid summer) and the booking arrangements work very well. The family are lovely and feel like real friends now. Nothing was too much trouble from booking to arrival and during my stay. The site itself is all grass, kept well mown, and the 5 pitches are very well spaced around the edge of a lovely big field next to the farmhouse. The roads around are narrow it has to be said, but there are plenty of passing spaces and the traffic is quite sparse. I tow my caravan and have never had a problem. There is plenty to do around the site if you look, and these places have been well covered in previous reviews. I also booked onto the pottery experience days available on site, and really enjoyed them, as well as coming home with a couple of souvenirs of my visits!! Well worth a try if you fancy it. The local coves (eg Nolton Haven) are ideal for paddle boarding (or SUP Boarding as its now fashionably known) with a carpark almost on the beach. Watch the tides! And Newgale is ideal for surfing. The Coastal path is no more than a 10 minute drive away, and the views are absolutely breath-taking! Choose your entry point carefully though as there are some fairly steep climbs on some sections. There are loads of good, reasonably priced eating places around (quite a few listed in other reviews), and I haven't had a bad meal yet (and I am quite picky!) Also don't miss the ice-cream parlour at Pointz Castle, on the coast road from Newgale into Solva. It is delicious and as it's a working dairy farm you can watch the cows coming in for milking while you're eating. Couldn't really fault this site. Loved it. Definitely hoping to be back again this year.
