Good Site

We recently returned from a 2 week stay here. It is everything a CL should be - short grass, good usable space, easy access and friendly owner. It is quiet but with places of interest only a short distance away.

Just what a CL should be really

Weather a bit drizzly and misty when I was here for one night so probably didn't see the surrounding area at its best. However the CL was just fine. Friendly, informative owner (checking I had food and told me where some local farm shops etc were) and great level hardstanding pitch with hook up and water nearby. Very quite and dark at night...great! Easy to find and not far from Castle Howard or the Yorkshire Arboretum (I went to the latter...really lovely even in late September grey drizzle!) Cash payment preferred (£12)

A Really Quiet Relaxing CL

We stayed here for two nights in August.  What a lovely experience.  The owner was helpful and friendly, the site is beautifully set up and the location is perfect.  We pitched against an old stone wall close to the hook up and the access track.  It is an accessible site from the Helmsley Road and close to Nunnington Hall an interesting National Trust property.  The surrounding lanes are also flat for cycling with some interesting villages. Everything a CL should be.  We hope to return.

Escape from it all

Delightful country CL but within easy reach of Rievaux abbey, Helmsley, Nunnington. Excellent welcome. Will use again in dry weather.
