Lovely, well maintained site.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and couldn’t have been happier. The site is very well maintained, Gus, the owner, mowed the grass several times whilst we were there. The pitches are nice and level with plenty of space between. There is a lovely piece of land sectioned off for the dogs to do their business. Good access to the site and although it is not far from a dual carriageway, this most certainly didn’t bother us and actually when going out for day trips was good to be straight onto a main route. The toilet disposal was excellent as were the rubbish bins. Would highly recommend this lovely site....and the eggs we purchased from Gus were delicious.

Excellent CL site

We stayed here for 3 nights last week for the first time and we'll definitely be back. Very neat and well kept site, easy to find, and your pitch is shown on a blackboard by the site entrance. Depending on direction of arrival, once you turn off the dual carriage way, you enter a narrow country lane and the gate to the site is on your right. Once you open the gate you drive in and will see the blackboard with your name against a pitch location. We have a 8.1m outfit and access was not a problem. As it's located on a country lane, off a dual carriage way, there is some traffic noise, but nothing too intrusive. The pitch itself is surrounded by fields which were starting to be harvested while we were there. Very level site with plenty of space between pitches with short mown grass and well kept bushes around the site. Campsite owner very helpful. Ideal location for visiting Goodwood racecourse and other attractions in the area.

Lovely, level, peaceful and spacious CL with everything I needed

I enjoyed this CL so much, I stayed nearly a week! I was looking for space, peace, quiet, good 4G, EHU, chemical and water filling facilities – it had it all. Gus, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming, and came to say hello as I arrived, but was respectful of my peace and quiet which I appreciated. The grass is very well-kept – short and mowed. It's nice and flat, too, didn't need levellers. The other thing I liked was that you get sun most of the day when it's finally happening! His price was very reasonable, there's plenty of space between pitches (although I had the whole place to myself) and the toilet disposal is brilliant, it all goes straight down a drain with not too many 'visuals'. It's surrounded by fencing so no-one has to witness it and there's a hose for cleaning. Good recycling options although nothing for plastic unfortunately. Water at the entry gate which is convenient as you go in and out. Although it's 'next to' (set back from) a dual carriageway, I didn't find it at all disturbing, despite other reviews saying different. You can hear the 'swooshing' at rush hour, (not from inside the van though) but it's very distant and unobtrusive. Good access to Chichester and the retail park (both about 15 mins away). I would recommend this site and would certainly stay again if in the area.

Lovely place for a getaway. Basic, but as we like it. Stayed 2/3/4th June

Good little site. Basic facilities but that is ok with us. Lovely mown grass. Quiet apart from the traffic noise, which we did not really notice after a few minutes. Not intrusive. Will certainly stay here again, and to be honest, hope that others do not find it, as it will probably always be full.

Perfect for Goodwood

We stayed three nights whilst attending Goodwood's 74th Members' Meeting. The site met our needs perfectly. A blackboard at entrance identified the pitch we had been allocated. Site is level, all grass (well maintained), firm enough to accommodate our van with careful driving.

An ideal CL

Just spent a few days on this lovely CL which I’ve used a number in the past. The new owner is keeping up the high standard set by his predecessor. It is all grass, as I prefer, but this is kept short & the ground drains very well. Others have mention the road noise from the nearby A27, but that can only just be heard when sitting out. In no way does it intrude on what is a quiet rural setting. It is a pleasure to watch & listen to the large variety of birds.

We'll be back!

We stayed at this CL during the ownership change. New owner Gus very approachable. Site well maintained and I believe some improvements may be on the way. Access from the A27 very easy, but there is a little road noise as consequence. More touristy things to do than expected once you investigate. Nice square site with well marked nearly flat pitches. TV good even with old Status aerial. Loads more to see, so we will definately return.

Almost Perfect

We have just returned from a week at this little jem. Upon our arrival we were met by Gus ,the new owner of three weeks, who told us to pitch on a site of our choice pointing out that pitch one seemed favorite he then explained where all the facilities were and told us that whilst he still commuted to London at the moment if we had any problems ring him and he would be back within the hour. The site is well maintained, the grass is kept very short and there is ample space between the pitches, Disposable Gloves are even provided at the Chemical Disposal point ! The only negative point is traffic noise from the A27 so if you like to spend your day relaxing on site then this site is not for you. On the other hand if like us you get out and about during the day this site is perfect, return in the evening to listen to the call of the many birds around and watch the Rabbits come out to feed in the evening. Would we return ----most certainly.

Very welcoming

We stayed on this CL for a week in early April 2014. The first stay of at least eight months touring.  Mary made us feel very welcome and gave us advice on the local farm shops and other local services.  Even after the recent heavy rain the site was accessible, the ground a bit soft but not so that it proved a problem getting in and out.  It was very dog friendly with a paddock that the dogs were free to run in.  They loved it.   Walking from the site was not easy, but you are only a short car journey from the South Downs and other great walks.  See our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk for details of our walks. The site is convenient to the A27, so there is obviously some traffic noise.  But it did not bother us or spoil our enjoyment of the stay. As we were leaving Mary told us that after thirty years she was moving soon and someone else was taking over the site.  Hopefully they will be as welcoming as Mary.  If in this area again we would stay here.
