Lovely quiet site

What a lovely large field site with fantastic views. We were greeted by Ivan who was very welcoming and showed us everything on the site and pointed us toward Bentley Woods. We had a fantastic walk in the woods and will definitely be back to do some more as it is so big. The best thing about this interesting site was the old farm machinery and absolutely NO ROAD NOISE!

Beautiful Spot

We love this site! Ivan and Sue are so friendly and helpful, it’s surrounded by gorgeous countryside and Bentley Wood is a gorgeous place for a walk. As a working farm, we watched Ivan bailing up the hay, enjoyed all the bunnies running around, laughed every time a donkey called out from a neighbouring field and the best bit is the peace and quiet. Second visit and we will be back.

A perfectly acceptable CL

We stayed here for 5 nights in April 2022. Owner friendly on arrival and site easy to find if a little tight to get onto. The field is large, with plenty of room to spread out and for children to play etc. We were struck by how quiet the site was, no road noise at all. The grass is well kept, especially leading to the water. Waste disposal was basic but well away from the vans. Three star rating as we felt the site was a but 'tired' and quite expensive in comparison to others we have stayed on. That said, we would use again if in the area.

Very poor, avoid

Not sure how people have rated this 5 stars, the top rating. Visited on 11/2/2022 and didn't stay, people were very nice but site is very poor, booked a hard standing but still got stuck twice on the grass once trying to get water! The field is over looked by houses and contains some machinery, the place really needs some investment even for a CL, have stayed at a fair few and this is the worst by a long shot. Think the club really need to get around theses sites if they are going to place them into their book and 'certify' them.

Lovely quiet site

Stayed here in July 21, but have returned here several times. Long view from the site, good walking across the farm to Bentley wood which is well known as a good site to see purple emperor butterflies and many species of birds. However you don’t see many people in there! The site has electric and the normal water, recycling, waste and very basic but of course functional toilet emptying facility. The field is large, some of it is maintained as meadow which looks more natural and there are plenty of butterflies and swallows in season. The grass of the pitches are maintained acceptably short and the pitches are comfortably spaced. The field slopes a bit and on some of the pitches you will need levelling ramps for motorhomes. However the slope helps the drainage and I have not had a problem here. There are 3 hardstandings if things do get wet in the winter. Last few miles to the site are a little tight but not a significant problem. Owners very helpful if needed but not intrusive at all.

Lovely site in nice location

Stayed here in December 2020 during some cold wet weather but it didn’t ruin our weekend as the site was so pleasant. This site is part of an old working farm which just adds to the charm and with some old farm machinery around it feels slightly nostalgic! However it’s clean, tidy with good services. Very peaceful. There are 3 hard standings and 2 grass pitches. Good tv reception but there is very limited mobile signal in the area. Access is not too bad if you plan the route in correctly. The village is quiet and small with some good local walks including Bentley woods. The owners Ivan and sue are really helpful both during the booking process and when we arrived. Would stay here again if needed to.

What a gem of a place

This site is a rare find the site hosts Sue and Ivan are very welcoming and they are only too happy to help. Salisbury and it’s amenities are not too far away, there is plenty to do for most people, cycling, walking and for dog owners there is a 1,000acre wood to explore. The site itself is kept to a high standard with both grass and hard standing this site is starred in our book as one to return to. Mike and Sandra O’Neill

Lovely Site

Spent weekend at this site, 26th - 28th June - welcome was really nice and really helpful. Walks with dog superb great access to the village. Last 2 miles to site a bit hairy especially if your unit is 26ft + car!! Overall a beautiful place to spend some time. The bird song was amazing and everyone was so very friendly will definitely return.
