Birds Eye View of Welland Valley
4 day stay at the end of the warm spell Feb/March - arrived in warm sunshine with clear views of 3 or 4 villages dotted around the Welland valley and a large hawk/kite sitting on the farm fence 5 or 6 metres away from our pre-allocated pitch no.5 before soaring off in the thermals over the valley! There cant be many better views from a CL anywhere.
Simple access in to the CL particularly from the east,
All hardstanding pitches have 16amp electrics but please note 25 metre cable is required if you book pitch 5 as the outlet is up on pitch 4.
TV signal is excellent being on the crest of the valley.
The village of Cottingham is a 10 minute walk with the recently refurbed George Pub the closest with quality food, best to book though for a table.
The other pub the Spread Eagle also opens at lunch time with a OAP offer (if you qualify) and the food is reasonable. Both are dog friendly in the bar, As mentioned in other reviews the Indian restaurant/take away is also good quality.
Did not see the owners on site while we were on site but it is all well organised remotely in any case.
