Ease of arrival/welcome

Quiet and simple site with easy access.

Short weekend for us with the dog, initially a little challenging to see the sign, but follow the instructions and drive slowly looking left out of the village and you'll see the club sign. Enter gate code to get in, approach to the gate could be longer if you have a large set up, but there isn't much traffic to worry about anyway. Choice of pitches allocated by email and text the day before arrival there are 1 and 1A etc for all five pitches. Pitches are nearly level, but not quite! Easy access to water and electrical hook up, site requires organic toilet fluid as they use a septic tank, its available on site free of charge if you only have blue. Indian restaurant /takeaway is very nice indeed and delivers to the campsite pretty quickly. 2 pubs within an easy walk of the site, The Royal George was by far the most welcoming and is ok with well behaved dogs in the bar area. Views across the valley are superb and it's very peaceful at night. We visited East Carlton country park which is at most 5 minutes drive from the site, n ice place to take dogs. Then went on to Market Harborough, which is a nice medium sized town with plenty of shops and no shopping centre. Left this morning in the rain with very good impressions of the site.
