My wife, me and two dogs took quite a journey from the Northeast all the way to Devon and it was definitely worth the journey. Access to the site is relatively easy as it's not far off the main road as long as you don’t go up the long lane from Northam. The site is located just outside Appledore one way and Northam the other. The site itself was clean and well maintained with Alice and her husband popping on site to empty bins and tidy the site each day. There are dog walks, beeches both ways from the site and all the things you need you can find in Appledore. There's an abundance of public houses serving food, ice cream vans and a little store for your purchases. Northam is a bigger town with more facilities but it is more touristy as its also part of Westward Ho. The site does get a bit breezy at times as it is right by the Bristol channel (well it is called Seabreeze). Its location is ideal for windsurfers, beach lovers, walkers and cyclists. We all had the most enjoyable holiday of 10 days and cant thank Alice enough for letting on the site which was busy with coming and going each day as soon as one pitch was vacated it was filled. We booked nearly a year in advance and I would recommend you do the same.

We returned from this site on 12/07/19 having spent a very nice fews day there. We were fortunate and booked up enroute the day before without any issues although we may have been lucky. The site is flat and the area is fantastic. Its close to the sea with a lovely country park in-between. Is ideal for walking with or without dogs. Appledore is a lovely small town right on the estuary and Bideford which is only a few minutes drive away is also very pleasant. The owners live off site but pay regular visits and the site is kept very clean. My only observation is that grey water is difficult to dispose of if you are in a motorhome, as there is no separate drain from the CDP, which cleverly is a sunken toilet incorporating the u-bend! very useful helping to eliminate unwanted splashes.

Recommended.
