Discovered this idyllic spot by accident last year and have returned four times already with another in the diary. Yes, it is basic but if that is what you like it's perfect. Yes, there are commercial concerns but they do not impinge upon your peace and solitude unless you want them to - first time we went there we did not leave the site for the whole 3 days, enjoying the produce of the shop (including the wine from the Vineyard), a meal in the cafe and even purchased a lovely plant for a gift. Paul is extremely welcoming and attentive to the needs of his guests. And how can one complain about having to fetch water when to do so is through luscious vineyards. A site for people with soul.
