Ease of arrival/welcome

Large, level, lovely location

We pulled onto this site and went to the back door of the house to let them know we'd arrived. A very warm welcome met us and we were advised to pitch wherever we wanted to on the (very) large field. There is a water tap, Elsan disposal and a clean toilet for use by caravaners. The field is level and tent pegs go effortlessly into the ground for awnings. Although a road runs along the side of the field, there is almost no traffic and it caused no disturbance at all. Along the road a little from the site is Brereton Heath Nature Reserve, a large lake and woodland with a good footpath all the way around, it takes about an hour to walk the full length when walking from the campsite. This was a wonderful find, a beautiful place to visit and enjoy a walk (in the sunshine for us). The vehicular entrance to this is about 1/2 a mile from the site, however, about 50yds along the road is an entrance to the woodlands surrounding the lake, this proved the ideal place to walk our dog. We will be returning to this site again in the near future. There are no electric hook ups, however, if you're happy 'off grid' this site provides a great, very cost effective, option for somewhere to stay.
