Member of the caravan club but had booked on to Invercaimbe Caravan and Camping about a week in advance. Arrived late in the evening as explained in email due to a table booked at Mallaig restaurant after ferry crossing. Due to a wrong turn (following sat nav directions) and following directions given via earlier email received by owner we pulled up in our pitch allocated, by this time pitch black too. An hour or so later turns out we were on the wrong site. Yes, our fault due to our sat nav but attitude of the owner was horrendous. Managed to calm the situation down but he was a very angry man, stating it had cost him money and he had to leave his house twice in the rain tonight because of us! We apologised numerous times and even said we would reimburse the electric costs which he wanted £5 but quickly snatched £10 from my husbands hand. Just very upsetting when someone comes banging on the side of your vehicle with a really bad attitude. It doesn’t cost anything to be civil to each other especially after this last year. We were made to feel like we were criminals. Simple and innocent mistake led to a horrible experience and wouldn’t set foot on his site again. I hope he’s happy with himself for how he treated us. Not a nice ending to what was a lovely and much needed break for two health care workers. Very sad to leave such a bad review.
