All I needed for a short stay

Arrived at site, reception staff welcoming and helpful. This is a working farm so some noise to be expected but did not find this intrusive. Water to each pitch and electric hookup 16A. Small toilet block, recycling and chemical disposal point all well kept and clean. Warning on hot water is not wrong! Stayed for 3 nights although we had only planned 2 as we liked the area. Plenty of walking routes in the area. Close to Snettisham RSPB Nature reserve and the beach. shops (including co-op) in the village and pubs that serve food although we didn't try them. Good starting point for a visit to King Lynn. There's a Maritime Trail to do there, the walk leaflet has a lot of interesting historical information if that's your thing (we downloaded it). Hunstanton nearby if you like a seaside resort.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Walks from the site were lovely and interesting. Yes there is activity going on and we established this before booking by reviewing their website. It's a CL site and it met all our needs and expectations. Will visit again without any doubt.

Unloved site!

This site is within walking distance of the village of Snettisham, which has a couple of pubs, a handful of shops and cafes and is an 8 mile round trip walk to the beach! The pitches are fairly level although the field is lumpy, the electric is 16a and there are a number of water points. The worst part of our stay was the dog just at the other side of the hedge which barks for no apparent reason during the day, then howls and barks a couple of times during the night. We had booked for a week and seriously considered moving to a different site a couple of times during our stay. We will definitely not be returning to this site!

Perfect family stay

If you are looking for views from your caravan, tranquility and a quiet stay then this isn't the site for you. If you want a family friendly, good priced, fun break with everything you need for a perfectly adequate stay (pitch, toilets, water & electric) within a fabulous and fair priced working farm & deer park visitor attraction, then you will love it as we did! Yes you will be woken by the animals, but this added to our experience. The staff & animals are very friendly, cafe / shop / playground are great - we will definitely return!

Scruffy and very noisy

Will i stay at this site again : No The site is adjacent to the barns and general area. It is scurfy and unkept. Surrounded by high hedges so no view. Cockerel will wake you at crack of dawn 4.30 am then farm opens at 8am working day with dogs barking and tractors moving just the other side of hedge 10yrds away. Thinking of sitting outside in the afternoon forget it, farm winds down at 5pm. No tv signal and mobile coverage below average 3 / O2/ vodafone. Overall rating 2 Stars only thing going for it is it only £13 per night+ehu Behind the reception cabin/ car park is another field , with nice views and away from activity. This would be an ideal location for CL, when we were there 2 caravans pitched on that field ?

Poor

We went to this site knowing it was a working deer farm, but we were put in the (overflow) site as the 5 van cl was full, it did have electric but was just a cable in a black bin bag!!! My main issue was that we were next to a marquee which was used for picnics of farm visitors but we had rubbish from that and old benches and computer equipment and anything they didn't require was disguarded where our car would normally be. The grass was also pretty long and the area was not gated off from the public so all visitors wanting to see horses and have a look round were just meandering around your pitch!! Not very secure. It's in a good spot and good price so it's a shame this happened. Staff were very friendly in cafe / shop but it seems to me it's a cl to earn a few extra quid rather than the love of it

Good CL With Added Attractions

This CL is part of a working Deer Park visitor attraction and as such is noisy during the day.The Rally Field is nicer than the CL itself. The on site cafe is useful and it is the closest CL to Sandringham which is a lovely day out. The people working on site were very friendly and welcoming and the whole place had a nice family atmosphere.....we liked it.

Short stay...

...we only stayed here one night to break our long journey up but it was a nice evening none the less and we shall return at some point. The site was clean and the staff were friendly, it seems there is lots to do on offer. My only gripe was the dog behind the hedge beside our caravan barking at 5.30am.

Could have been better

We stayed on this site the 1st week of September 2015 but first impressions were that the grass had not been cut for several weeks as it was a good four inches long and there was a big bare patch on our pitch.  The site is very basic, although there are several water taps close to each pitch meaning that you only have to share the tap with one other pitch. There was a toilet on site, but again it was very basic and the gents had no light or toilet paper to start with and the soap dispenser had run out in the ladies and was never refilled during our stay.  Rubbish was piled high in bags next to the bins, which I suspect came from the Farm Shop.  This was cleared the day after our arrival.  The site was very peaceful during the evenings but could get noisy during the day from the activities on the farm.  Although there was no mobile phone signal you could get free wi fi in the farm cafe.  A ten minute walk down the hill, passing the lovely church, took you to the main road where the buses run between Hunstanton and Kings Lynn roughly every 15 minutes.  There are a couple of pubs and a cafe in the village as well as a small general store. A convenient site to visit different parts of Norfolk.

Pleasant stay

We stayed for 3 nights over the bank Holiday and were surprised to find it was not fully booked. Grass was good and even tho' lambing was in full swing we did not find the noise bad at all, really cute to be honest and a real reminder that we were camping and away from city life. A warn welcome at reception. Will definately be going back as for us it offers so much convienience to do the things we love in that area of Norfolk. You really must go to Bircham Windmill bakery, have fish and chips at Fishers of Hunstantion, eat at the Rose and Crown, watch the knots at Snettisham beach the list goes on, oh and do not firget to watch the sun go down from the cliff top at sunny hunny!
