Ease of arrival/welcome

What a gem!

Fantastic little site tucked away in the Dorset countryside on a working farm just outside Puddletown. Judith made us feel very welcome from the outset. In fact whilst we had booked for 6 nights we loved it so much we ended up staying on for 12. Water, bins and chemical waste point are all within easy reach. The site is well looked after, the grass kept short and there is an abundance of nature all around you. We saw deer grazing in the fields from our caravan windows and a family of Kestrels close-by in the trees, not to mention a small herd of heifers who visited us at the fence every morning and evening. The last part of the approach from Puddletown is narrow but there are plenty of passing places and it’s only ¾ of a mile anyway. From a convenience point of view, there’s a Londis shop just back down the road in Puddletown and supermarkets in Dorchester nearby. As well as Dorchester this CL is a great staging point for visits to Corfe Castle, Swanage and Weymouth; all within striking distance for day trips, as is the coast with Studland Bay, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Bridport and the SW Coast Path for walkers. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. We shall certainly be returning.
