A Cracking Spot

We booked this as it was a convenient spot for us to use as a base for the 5 Ferries cycle ride that we planned to do. The owner was really friendly and she went out of her way to make sure our van and that of our friends could be pitched adjacent to each other, which helped make our stay even better. There are other campsites on adjacent land but there was no noise and the whole place had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The facilities were very clean and the pitch we were on was level with an EHU conveniently positioned. I've read of criticism about midges and fast cars on the road. Yes, midges are around but that's something to be expected in the summer on the West Coast of Scotland and the road is a country lane and we didn't notice it being used as a racetrack. All in all we would go back to this site when touring in Scotland.
