This site comprises an area marked as a CMC cl site for 5 vehicles across the road from the farmhouse. When we were there, there were also tents pitched in the middle grass area of the cl. There was also a vehicle area next to this and back across the road next to the farm house is a car park with 2 large camping fields next to that. This makes it quite a large campsite not a cl. Both camping fields were full with a large group of about 60 people in the bottom field. They were noisy until well after midnight. We booked on the day we stayed and were told we could have hard standing as the grass was too wet for a motorhome. What we weren't told was that we would be parked on the sloping gravel car park jammed in with three other motorhomes and all the campers' cars. It did not feel safe being so cramped and was uncomfortably sloping, even with levellers. We would not have booked if we had known all of that. Also we were charged £25 despite the CMC site quoting the charge as £20. We like cls because of their location and peace and quiet. This site certainly isn't quiet and is not a cl. The large group in the bottom field were very noisy and we were kept awake by them. We were also kepy awake by a couple in a nearby tent having a screaming row until 1am and then again at 4.30am. From 6.30am there was a lot of vehicle doorbanging, loud talking and engine revving so overall we slept very badly. Had the motorhomes not been squeazed in so tightly we may not have been disturbed by this as we would not have been so close. If you are looking for a typical cl avoid this like the plague. We certainly will never be back nor will we recommend it to anyone.
