Lovely Site and great value

Great site and fantastic value. Close to beautiful & historic Malmesbury which is only 30 mins walk away along fields and streams. Totally peaceful and very very clean facilities. Idea location for a few days totally relaxing or as a stopover for routes along the M4. Thanks a lot.

Just a great all round site

A peaseful site run by very helpful people - even their children are nice. It's a long drive from the junction in Lea but don't worry you can't go wrong. Well kept, short grass. A perfect site. I'm going back again this weekend!!!!

Agreed place to chill

What a great site in the country on a working farm yet close enough to towns and places of interest. Just right for chilling , relaxing watching life on the farm and if you are lucky brilliant sunsets. Really enjoyed staying here and will be back.

Very relaxing

Just spend 5 nights on his very peaceful and tranquil site. The owners Mel and Trevor are great just let you get on with it but are there if required. Beautiful views and a short walk into Malmesbury historical town. It is a working farm but it was minimal noise plenty of walks straight from site and if you fancy Sunday launch you won't go far wrong with the Rose and Crown in Lea village on you doorstep. Very well priced and good TV reception but to be fair I enjoyed listening to the birds more. On site Green woodpeckers Goldfinches in the hedge and plenty more on the walks. Cannot rate this site highly enough.

Disappointed

Would NOT class this site as a 5 star, more like 3 star.owner lady was very helpful on the phone but we never saw her even had to pay on leaving by putting money through letter box should have come to collect the fee from us ( good job we had change ) there were pot holes in the road which caused mud everywhere as it had rained , there was only one hard standing for our motorhome so no choice of where to park. A general tidy wouldnt go a miss especially around the facilities, long grass, weeds could be cut down , dustbins at a designated area would be better screened off. With more care and forthought would vastly improve the site. Although we didnt use the facilities they seemed very good and clean, there was a heated shower room, seperate toilet, and seperate washing machine. On a more poitive note the scenery is lovely , access is good apart from the pot holes, 10min drive to Malsbury.

Peaceful, good walking helpful host

We needed a site on the way to Wales and with the poor weather in mind we needed hard standing. Our host was so helpful (we forgot our electric cable!), and she lent us one. Our hard standing pitch was fine, but obviously being a farm it was very muddy! We would love to return in the summer, as the area is surrounded by glorious countryside and walks galore. Our schedule didn’t allow for a prolonged explore but as said, I would love to return and have a summer stay.

Booked for 2 nights,stayed for 5,!

What a lovely spot this is.We had several walks from the field ,one of which is a 30min stroll across fields into Malmesbury and others that take you further .Melanie came straight out to greet us when we arrived to suggest we parked on the hard standing backing into a shed as motorhome s are quite alot heavier then caravans, something we hadn’t thought about and can tend to have problems if the ground is wet ,a useful tip, thanks Melanie .We liked the area so much we stayed on for an extra 3 days.Went to the village pub on out last night and wish we’d gone sooner. We had a lovely meal and a delicious desert, probably a good job we didn’t go sooner!!! A very good value site.

Three good nights

A well priced, spacious and sunny CL with open views of the countryside and Malmesbury which is a pleasant cross-country walk away. Malmesbury is an attractive small town with plenty to see. We had good TV reception from our omni-direction aerial. The site has a gentle slope and is separated from a slightly larger site with statics and seasonal pitches by a hedge making it out of sight. The water point is shared with both sites as is a small facilities block which we didn’t use and includes a washing machine. The farm is on the edge of the small village of Lea which has a pub which we also didn’t use. There are pleasant short walks to be had from the site.

Peaceful Site on a Working Farm

Visited this CL in the middle of October 2019 for a 4 night stay. Had spoken to the owner before we booked who said that there was a hard standing pitch available. When we arrived the owner came to see us to make sure the hard standing was ok, which it was. We were very near to the toilet/showering rooms where the fresh water and waste disposal points were also situated. The approach to the site is along a single track road and then onto a concrete track which lead to the farm and CL. Because of all the rain the track was a bit muddy in places, but you must remember that this is a WORKING DAIRY FARM. Although there were some 400 cattle in the sheds near the CL there was very little noise from them or the farm machinery being used to feed and bed them down. We found the site ideal for visiting the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, Laycock Abbey and other Cotswold Attractions. Yes we would visit this CL again
