Left disappointed sadly!

We arrived for 2 nights to a small CL site that had a couple of issues for us on pitch 5. Firstly even with 2 EHU long leads we had to borrow a third to hook up. Secondly even though TV reception is described as 'good' we could not get a thing so we asked if we could be moved to a different pitch. Keith & his wife were on hand and admitted to poor tv signal on pitch 5 but did not seem keen on us moving even for one night (the other 3 pitches were vacant that night) so we asked if we could be moved to the big field where we had to pay more but at least could hook up and receive TV. We do not like the bigger sites so this was not ideal but we had already paid in full for pitch 5 so had no choice otherwise lose our money. The CL site is nice overall and the walk to the beach is great but we feel slightly disappointed that we were forced to pay more due to incorrect information.

Pleasant enough

We spend 2 nights in June 2021. CL is a self enclosed part of larger site. An adult only adjacent touring and a family site in the next field. All dealt with by email, didnt meet anyone. There are now 2 modern individual shower toilet units and a new CDP but shared with the other sites. There is no motorhome service point yet. Longer cables may be needed depending on pitch. Mr Moos ice cream is great and next door. There is a private path 15 mins walk to the coast, but be aware there is severe coastal erosion in these parts so if you walk along the beach the access up may not be where its obvious.Small amount of road noise and just some daytime car park noise from the ice cream business. Limited walking from the site apart from the coast.

A cheeky overnight

We don't live too far from here and fancied a quick overnight break without going miles. We have never stayed before so it was also a bit of a reccie for us too. The site is easy to find and access. It is adult only but there is as the write up says, a family camping field attached. That didn't bother us on this trip because there was no one on it. If you are wanting a very peaceful break, this isn't the site to choose. There is some road noise and the comings and goings to the ice cream shop/cafe in the day, results in lots of car door banging sounds. If you want to be within easy access of the ice cream parlour and within easily accessible touristy places round and about, then this is a great CL for you. The Farm Walk down to the beach/cliff tops is lovely - though you do have to watch your footing as the moles have over time, left some uneven places, where turning your ankle is easily done. Due to Covid, the toilets and showers were closed. The site was operating a contactless booking system, where we 'phoned, booked, paid, received an email then we just texted them when we arrived. All worked very well. You might need either an extension for your EHU lead or a very long one, depending upon your pitch. We had to back up further on our pitch than we wanted because we hadn't put our extension in with us. A well kept, marked out and sign posted CL

We spent a lovely week here had a great time. Perfectly level site on hard standing a nice walk to the sea the road was a little noisy and we could hear people visiting the ice cream parlour didn't worry us and the ice was delicious and staff were lovely. We were welcomed and given a map of the site and shown where the toilets and shower were which were very good and free.Would recommend the site to anyone..

Adults only lovely site with added bonus of ice cream right next door!

We stayed here over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. Only the 3 hard standing pitches were in use due to the really wet weather and there was no one on the rally field next door so the site was lovely and quiet. We were greeted on arrival and shown where the toilet's and shower were and where to pitch. All pitches are flat and have EHU. There were a lot of rabbit holes in the trees which was lovely watching them come and go with our morning cuppa. The shower is electric and has adjustable temperature so you could have it as hot or cold as you like and didn't have the awful push button to keep the water flowing. The toilet's and shower were always immaculate and well looked after. From your pitch there is a lovely 10 minute walk to the beach but due to the bad weather this was closed as part of it had flooded but we did manage to walk down on our first day. The blokes even managed some sea fishing from the beach there and also at Skipsea. There is a good tackle shop in Skipsea and the owner has great knowledge of fishing in the area if you like to fish. The site also is attached to Mr Moo's ice cream parlour which can cause havoc if your on a diet with so many mouth watering flavours to try and it being literally on your caravan doorstep. From the site you have easy access to the surrounding area. There is so many places nearby to visit within a short drive. Flamborough, Bempton and Bridlington to name just a few. We will definitely be returning. All in all a great CL.

If you like ice cream, this is a treat!

We visited for a weekend in September. I phoned to say we would be arriving a bit late and, due to traffic it was after 5:30pm when we got there. The gate was open so we could pull into the car park, but that was because there was a caravan rally in the next field and they were expecting late arrivals. There was no-one to welcome us or any indication of where we should go - I ended up asking one of the other caravanners, who showed me where the CL site was. Other sites we've visited have put out a board with a message to welcome us and direct us where to go if the owners can't be there. The pitch was fine - flat and spacious. Apparently there are toilets but we didn't find them. Fortunately this wasn't an issue as we are self contained in our motorhome. There is s great walk from the site to the beach. We were really shocked by the amount of coastal erosion that has taken place since we last visited Skipsea 30 years ago. The ice cream parlour was popular and is worth a visit.
