peaceful site

just had three weeks at this site, and our third time here. the site is flat with bark chip hard standings, with just one shower and toilet but always enough with only 5 pitches. Richard and Alison are get always friendly and willing to help, should you need it. The site is down a small country lane but there is no problem turning in, Banningham is a short walk up the road and the pub has a good selection of beers and a good restaurant. I can highly recommend site if you like peaceful stay.

Beautiful remote site

Just had nine days at this site our third time here, it's the most peaceful cl you could visit. Richard and Alison are first class hosts. The site is well located for getting to lots of locations and a stones throw from Blickling House, National

A hidden gem! Perfect for peace and quiet yet close to amenities and attractions.

This lovely site is situated down a country lane and once in, all pitches are flat with woodchip standing, ehu and fresh water. It's surrounded by tall trees giving it that extra privacy and lots of different types of birds. There is just one shower / toilet facility but with only 6 pitches, it works great. Owners are very nice and welcoming and if there are surplus vegetables from his allotment, he eaves them out for you to take. 500 metres down the lane is the Crown at Banningham, A great pub with an amazing menu, but you need to book ! Cromer, Overstand, Holt and Norwich are all close and Cromer has one of the longest stretches of beach I've ever seen. Thank you Alison for your hospitality, I'm sure we'll see you again.

Fabulous Site

Just returned from 18 days at Spring Meadow and what a fabulous site this is. Well kept grass and pitches, spotless washroom, and an excellent location for doing the touristy stuff or just relaxing with a glass of wine, a good book and listening to the bird song. Richard and Alison are great hosts, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and countryside matters. Go for a walk from the gate and you can come back with dinner - eggs, vegetables, jams, chutneys, honey. Would definitely return and give it a well deserved 10 out of 10.

Lovely CL, quiet location

Lovely CL in a peaceful location just outside the village on a country lane. Plenty of walks for the dog, pub nearby 10 minute walk. Cromer not far away and other seaside places worth visiting. Everything on site within easy access. Well drained flat pitches. Shower and toilet immaculate. The owners couldn't do enough for you and were extremely friendly, made afternoon tea for everyone jubilee weekend which was delicious and a kind gesture. Will definitely return if visiting this area again.

BEST EVER

This is still my favourite of many CLs that we been to over the years. Two things stand out. The welcome from Alison and Richard, great hosts and the peace and quite of the site. All you can hear are the birds. This time there were Barn owls and there are usually deer. Great get away from it all site, time to stop and read a book or go for a stroll but near to all the woodland walks, seaside towns and beaches and the broads. If you want peace, nature and great hospitality then look no further.

What a GEM!

We were simply "in the area" and chanced upon this wonderful site. What a find!! Situated along quiet country lanes which show the true beauty of the area, it is the perfect get-away. We were warmly greeted by the owners Richard and Alison and quickly settled in. Facilities are clean- and clearly marked. The site is neat and tidy without losing any of its rural charm. So peaceful and tranquil - if only that could be bottled and sold! We spotted a barn owl within 30ft of our motorhome and three deer in the next field. Hens happily scrape and peck nearby. Idyllic! An uninterrupted sleep is almost guaranteed. We cannot recommend this site highly enough...it is one of the best we have found...if not THE best. Wonderful. Trudi and Gav

Perfection

First time staying at a CL but if all CL's are like this it won't be our last. I couldn't fault anything about this site, especially the owners Richard and Alison. We received a lovely warm reception from Alison who made us feel welcome immediately. The pitches are well maintained lush grass with bark chipping for caravan standing. There is a lovely shower and toilet room for exclusive use of campers, which is kept spotlessly clean. It is in a great area for visiting local attractions and also has great walks from the site, and cycle paths on the doorstep. Only a few minutes walk are lovely public houses serving good food. Richard and Alison are a credit to the site as they work incredibly hard to make their site attractive to all campers whether in a caravan or motorhome, and we will definitely return. We would highly recommend this site!

Perfect

We chose Spring Meadow as the site for our very first caravan holiday ever and we really could not have picked a more wonderful place. We were welcomed by Alison who showed us where everything was and helped with some useful hints and tips before leaving us to settle in. Having sorted out what all the switches and knobs and connectors do (I think) we took a moment to sit and relax. We watched the chickens in the field next to our pitch wandering happily, listened to the beautiful pine trees swishing in the breeze and quite frankly couldn’t believe our luck. On a practical note, the grass was cut and tidy and all five pitches were on wood chipping which kept everything clean and tidy. We used the facilities, because let’s face it, dealing with the Thetford would have been a step too far this time. The loo and shower were spotless. There’s a great field close by for dog walking and of course the site is in the most beautiful part of North Norfolk with plenty of walking and sightseeing opportunities. We were a bit worried about narrow lanes on the approach but it was fine, there are loads of passing places and the lane is very quiet. We had a bit of an issue with a faulty fuse on the tow bar connector when we left and we’re helped by our neighbours to sort it all out with such good will and humour. Spring Meadow was such a friendly and relaxing place to stay and we very much look forward to returning.
