Lovely place.

Lovely site. Good access to Southwold and surrounding villages. Peaceful most of the time, just a little road noise but not intrusive at all. Owners polite and helpful.

Lovely Peaceful CL

Staying here for 4 nights. Can’t understand why it’s not full as it’s absolutely lovely. Echo all the previous positive reviews. Good for location and attractions, spacious yet some trees if shade needed. Clean and tidy. Friendly owner. Grass has been mown. Basic amenities but that suits us fine.

Brilliant CL

This CL is very easy to find with easy access and very welcoming owner John, who was very helpful without being intrusive. The pitch price was excellent value, the site was slightly sloping but easy to level with only 1 block found necessary. Landscaped garden and dog exercise area on site, perfect for first and last walks for our choccie lab Bella. The site was also very well located in between halesworth and southwold, so perfect location. We will definitely be back next year, wish it was closer to home as we would visit frequently. Many thanks John.

Warm Welcome

Used as a stop over whilst touring Norfolk but stayed four nights We received a very warm welcome on arrival, the site is slightly slopping so needed ramps , site has EHU, CDP, water with bins and recycling it was full when we were there but each pitch had plenty of room A great cl to explore the area, owners were more than happy to extend our stay and gave us plenty of local information Would stay again if in the area - would recommend

Great Suffolk coast base

Super CL. EHU with plenty of ampage. Water/waste & recycling. No other facilities which suited us 😁 TV signal good too. Very quiet. We visited when temps were over 28 degrees most days so had windows open at night. Excluding the owls and foxes 🤭 you could hear a pin drop 💕 Dark skies. Helpful owner but not at all intrusive. Levelling blocks required. Halesworth is a lovely small town with some very nice shops and a good sized Co-op food store/fuel. Unlike Southwold it wasn't too busy and was a pleasure to visit. Other recommended places to explore include: Framingham Castle, Orford Castle and Ness (closed when we visited tho). RSPB Minsmere. Dunwich heath & beach. Thorpness + House in the clouds & windmill. Walberswick & beach, Snape Maltings if you like to shop. We paid £12 a night in August 2020. Definitely recommend and hope to return 😍

A Well run and peaceful site

We have stayed here on several occasions and have always had a warm wellcome. The site is well maintained and is ideally placed for busses into Southwold. We much prefer St. Peters Place to the overcrowded and poorly maintained municipal caravan park in Southwold. We can either leave the site early in the morning tp find a parking place on the front in Southwold or as an alternative catch the bus and not worry about parking. If approaching from the South do not follow the Sat Nav, stick to the A12 untiljust past Benacre Mere and turn left onto the road to Horton.

Handy site for North Suffolk

My first comment is to ensure that don't follow satalite instructions to get to the site, use the A & B roads. We shook all our belongings out of the cupboards, so heed advice and take the longer route - which is excellent. My second comment is that the photo is slightly misleading, I took the leveling blocks to be due to the uneven ground clear on the picture, the site does slope away from the taker of the photograph, but this is not severe. The entrance to the site is nice and wide from the main road, the challenge is that exiting the site on to the B-road is slightly unsighted, but with a little care, the road is not overly busy, so offers no major challenge. The site is a basic plus electrics site which suits our purposes and had poor TV signal near the bottom. The site itself is well maintained and although the owner (a very nic chap), said that the top could be greasy when wet, we found that not to be too bad and the site drained well. The highlight for me was that we had the fullest phase of the moon over 5 days and this lit up the site a treat. There are six pitches which are split into 3 and 3 by mature trees, and there is plenty of wildlfe. Listening to the owls each evening was a treat. We are big walkers so find Suffolk a little tedious as a landscape, but the wildlife was excellent, and therefore my scores for interests nearby. I would be very happy to stay again if in the area, so that is always the best recommendation.
