Lovely site.

Close to A65 for access. Narrow lane to site. Friendly and informative welcome. C.l. set at side of farmhouse in a circle around a large lawned area. 3 pitches are set at right angles to to track, 2 others are like pull ins or lay byes previously described. Grass is kept short and with many pretty shrubs around site. Showers, toilets and wash up facilities are nearby, as is a superb pool with sauna , jacussi.and steam room. All facilities clean. No groundsheets allowed on grass.Would recommend.

Great little CL

We stayed here for 2 nights in January. We arrived late and were shown to our pitch, which we would not have found on our own as it was more like a lay by at the side of the road to pull into. Other pitches were quite short and uneven. Despite it being very icy nowhere had been gritted and it was very slippy. We really enjoyed our break here, the owners were very friendly and the leisure club was lovely. it is in a great location for exploring Ingleton and the surrounding areas. I think you might have to queue for the showers and toilets in the Summer as there are only 2 mens and 2 womens and these are shared with the seasonal touring site.

A lovely site....

This is a lovely site. Our stay was enjoyable but I would agree with Nellie about some aspects of the site. Large awnings on site are problematical and we didn't bother with our porch awning even though we had brought it.. TV reception was next to impossible but we watched TV by using I player etc. from the free Wi Fi on the site. (I don't think streaming would work during busy time periods though). We attempted to get a meal at the "Masons" PH down the road on a Sunday night but they had run out of food! We went instead to the Craven Heifer which is in the centre of Ingleton and is excellent. Finally, the swimming pool is nice and warm and very well kept...even in a January cold snap.

Stacksteads, Winter break.

This quiet CL has 5 rather uneven hardstanding pitches, a couple of which are rather narrow, as is the drive down to the site too. All have EHU and, as well as a toilet block, there's also a leisure centre with sauna, gym & swimming pool, available at £5 per person per use . There are views from the pitches over the surrounding fields and towards Ingleborough. There is also a bunk house adjacent to the site and a 4 bed cottage that can be hired. TV reception is a bit hit and miss, and although the site now has free Wifi internet access was not possible while we were there. The village of Ingleton, just over a mile from the site, has a small Co-op as well as a few pubs and cafes. A number of footpaths and quiet lanes suitable for dog walking can be accessed for the site. There are many places of interest close by, the Waterfall Walk being a must. Good value at £13 pn and a site that we would not hesitate to use again.

Little gem

We staid here end of July. A very nice CL, well equipped and maintained in a park like setting. Very friendly owners who were very wellcoming and helpful. Nice showerblock, not the newest but clean. There is a nice pool available, but we decided to visit the town. On advice of the owner, we had a meal at Masons Arms pub. We came with our big dog and a buggy, but that was no problem at all. Everything could come in and they served the best fish and chips we've ever had.

Fantastic

We stayed here for 5 nights mid August 2016 This is a perfect CL in a great location. Really well manicured site and the owner does not allow groundsheets of any sort in order to preserve the grass. Great electric hook up, no trip outs, nice toilet block. 50p for a shower. It also has the luxury of a small indoor pool, gym and sauna available at extra £5 per person per use.  The entry to the site is tight as is the lane but not a problem, just need to be careful. We would really recommend this site. Superb and only £13 a night. Plus £2 for awning.  Pub just at the road called masons arms. Called in for a drink and it was very nice, serves food but we didn't eat. Tv signal was ok but not great. Phone signal ok.

Great little site

Arrived home today from Stacksteads, one of the best CLs we have visited. Very friendly welcome and very reasonably priced. Plenty of space in the well-kept van area with hardstandings and electricity points. Very good toilet block. 10 minute walk into Ingleton for pubs, shops etc. Close to Ingleborough for walkers.

Simply Excellent

Not possible to fault this CL.  Attractive site layout and helpful owners who have obviously invested heavily on time, money and effort to make it so.  Heartily recommended.

Fantastic CL

Just returned from this great CL, and I'd like to echo the favourable comments below.  The layout of the CL is superb with more than plenty of space. Very slight negative is that 2 of the 5 pitches are unable to park their car on their pitch as the hardstanding area isn't large enough, and the grass is so pristine the owner doesn't want any cars on the grass!  Not a major problem as we parked our car by the leisure centre (a few yards away) and were pleased that we didn't actually use the car for the 3 day visit! We did, however, use the leisure centre, which is great!  15m pool with jacuzzi, sauna & gym (£5 adult & £3 child - a fair price). We will definitely return to this CL.

Excellent CL

This is a realy excellent CL with lots of space and beautifull surroundings. Facilities are good, and there is even a small leisure centre, which we did not use as the weather was excellent when we were there. Its only a short walk into Ingleton, and there is a decent pub at the bottom of the road from the site. Lots of great walks in the area - it really is a lovely spot.
