A lovely site

We have just returned home after a lovely relaxing week at Stalydene. Grass kept short and hedges separate each of the level pitches. Coded gate for security. Close to lots of lovely beaches within around five miles drive and lots of coastal walks. Follow written instructions on here not sat-nav to avoid one narrow lane. Norman keeps the site tidy. Best to phone to make enquiries or a booking. This was our third visit and certainly won’t be our last.

A great little tucked away CL

A lovely little CL, nice generous sized pitch and very private with high hedges. Owner friendly and helpful, came straight over when the leccy went off. Very secure, keypad entry, don’t forget to take the code with you when you go out…..Lot’s to see in the local area, St Mildreds Beach only 10 minute car journey and very nice. Water and electricity only so no other facilities to comment on. Worth doing location research before you visit as very tucked away in a corner. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely quiet site in excellent location for touring Isle of Thanet

We were not disappointed by our first CL site pitch (so much quieter with more space than a club site, as well as having EHU - which was a must have for us). The site is well kept and fairly level with large mainly grass pitches in an ideal country location to visit East Kent, with all the main seaside locations such as Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, Ramsgate, Bexhill, Sandwich and Deal, as well as the historic city of Canterbury all within 30 mins reach. Ideal place for off-road cyclists with the Oyster Bay Trail, Viking Coastal Trail and Crab and WInkle Way Sustrans routes all close by. The owner is very friendly and we would definitely stay there again.

Lovely sit

Lovely 5 van CL site have stayed many times in the past, we did not enjoy this latest stay . Peace and sleep shattered by unruly large neighbours DOGS barking day and night mainly at night 3 ,4, 5 ,6 Am disturbing sleep so tired all next days.. owner spoke to neighbours about dogs barking neighbours said they would do what they could to stop them ,, one night no barking then all started again so would put me off staying again. Narrow road leading to site,, its a rat run locals speeding and having no concern to strangers using the roads apart from that a lovely site can be peaceful when no dogs barking owner Norman is very nice and will be very helpful you need to use own sanitation and showers but can hook up to electrics and setup a waste water pipe to drain so only have to empty toilet and refill water

Serviced pitch with electric & water,

Very clean well kept site, with served pitches,! Very quiet site relaxing country setting,! Owners seam very friendly helpful, not far from local towns, you do hear dogs barking but also heard owners of the Animals tell the dogs to shut up,,! Which is what should be done,,a, we have dogs, and they do not bark as they are well trained not to annoy others,? Like the site would come again,! Tv signal good,,! Only snag the owners charge £1 for awnings When caravan club does not charge extra,? So do not agree with that,! But I would recommend This site, as it’s clean & tranquil and good for large MH..tag axle.

Disappointed overall

From Google Maps and the Club Map the location pin is wrong and would take you down a dirt track. So we were concerned and rang the owner who helped us locate their exact position on the single track lane. About 3/4 mile up the single track lane into the site we expected it to be quiet, it was except when locals used the lane as a rat run to go to work and come home. Facilities are as described by others within a small field with a high hedge. Nearby Birchington has a good range of shops and an excellent Farm Shop. Never saw the owner after we arrived, put our payment into an honesty box.

A lovely site

We recently stayed at this lovely adults only CL. It is a really nice site, well looked after, nicely set out with plenty of room between pitches. The owners clearly look after it. Easy access to the coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Walmer Castle near Deal offers a nice area for walking along the coast for a mile or so on an easy access path. The medieval town of Sandwich is not too far away and well worth a visit. Now, about the dogs barking as mentioned by a previous reviewer; unfortunately there are dogs barking a lot at a nearby property. Fortunately they are not barking all the time, not during the night and although they barked through most of the Saturday and Sunday we didn't hear much of them until the Thursday when they started up again for the rest of our stay. Cant understand how the locals put up with it! We found it to be a nuisance which spoilt the peace and tranquillity of the site but it all depends on what bothers you and as said it is a lovely site and of course it is not the owners fault who are doing a very good job.
