fantastic location.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Fantastic location as a very short walk to the wonderful harbor of St Abbs. An even shorter walk to the start of the cliff top circular walk. Both Cafe's in St Abbs worth a visit too. Pitch and putt too :-) All pitches on site, flat, hard standing with their own tap and electric hook up. Good space round each pitch. We had the good fortune of seeing two deer (one a stagg) in the evening of our first night in the neighboring field. Lots of lovely birds/wildlife in area, easily visible from van Ali came round the evening of our first day and was very knowledgeable about the local area, giving us good recommendations of where to visit/walk. However there are two main disadvantages to the site;I feel it is expensive at £25/night considering there is no WC/Shower on site. Also no waste point for our motorhome. We have spent time on similar sites with similar facilities and they were mostly £18/night. Also biggest disadvantage it is not private as the path from the visitors center to St Abbs runs down one site of the site and everyone gets a good look into the campsite. Summary; A fantastic place to stay in order to be on the doorstep to St Abbs and wonderful walks, However this is not a place I would choose to stay for long as I did not feel comfortable sitting outside my van with a book due to the footpath.
