Wonderful Location

We stayed for 3 nights at Starney Bay, but wished it could have been more. Site is easy to access at then take your pick of pitch. All are fully serviced and excellent. The hardcore suface is covered in fine gravel and gives the site a very smart appearance. Getting awning pins in is hard work, so if you are planning on putting up an awning make sure you have decent rock pins. Next to the site is a cafe, an art gallery and toilets which were open when we were there in early May 21 Just 600m down the road is St Abbs with a couple of lovely cafes, especially Ebbcarrs right by the quay. There is also a small shop and post office for basic supplies and newspapers. Walks from the site are fantastic along coastal cliff paths south to Eyemouth where there are a couple of pubs and restaurants. North along the coast is less populated and much more challenging with some steep climbs. However, the views are worth it. Ali was very friendly and chatty and gave us some tips on where to walk. A wonderful few nights at a very neat and well kept site!
