Just Perfect

We visited Stembrige Farm in early Sept 2018 and it is now our favourite CL site. What is there not to like about this site, very friendly approachable owners, easy to find using their directions, fresh water to every pitch, working farm where you can watch them training their sheepdogs. Couple of great pubs nearby doing good food and hand pulled ales, fantastic beaches and walks all around the peninsula to suit all tastes, spotlessly clean toilets. It is such a great area, like Cornwall without the crowds. Many thanks to Glenda and Colin for making our visit so special, unfortunately we had to cut our visit short as we had to return home for a hospital appointment, we will most certainly be visiting Stembridge Farm again in the near future. R&P 👍

Just perfect

We love this site. Very friendly owners, superbly maintained with level hardstandings and clean toilets. Stayed for a few days in the hot weather of July. Because of the weather, there was a lot of holiday traffic around but outside of weekends things quietened down and we were not bothered by traffic noise. So much to see and do in The Gower with lots of fabulous walking and good pubs to recover in.

Excellent CL

Just had five superb days here in glorious weather. This site is what CL's are all about. The owners could not have been more welcoming. Level hard standing with grass for the awning, water tap on pitch, and loads of room. Two spotless loos next to the farmhouse. We were treated to the sheep dogs training, and the fresh eggs from the chickens wandering around. The Gower has some very narrow roads and I saw some other caravan sites down single track lanes that I really would not want to tow a van down. This site is by a wider road and access is very easy, which meant there was some traffic at rush hour, but nothing intrusive, and you can't have it both ways. I've had worse noise from neighbouring dogs on club sites. Lots of fabulous beaches nearby and plenty to see and do. No problem with phone, TV and wifi signals. Plus the pitch fee of £14 per night was exactly half what we paid at Freshwater the week before. All in, a really top class CL, highly recommended.

A Working Farm

The roads around the Gower are narrow in places, and the entrance to the site involves quite an acute turn from the road for a long rig. The site is well laid out with plenty of space between pitches and each pitch has it's own water tap. There is a wi-fi signal and mobile phone and tv signal is fine. This is a working farm so the occasional noise from tractors was expected. We enjoyed a couple of demonstrations of sheep dog trials as well as hay bailing during our week long stay. Very friendly and welcoming owners, also clean toilets and showers. Recommended.

Quite wonderful

We had two weeks here early in September, and found none of the problems mentioned in other reviews. The site is very close to the road, but we heard little traffic in the evening and it certainly didn't bother us at night. Nor did we see any dog mess on site, although of course there may have been inconsiderate visitors after we left. As for dogs barking at night, although we saw a number of dogs I don't remember hearing them at all. The site itself was absolutely fine, five hardstandings in a row, with the option of facing your van either way round. Facing your van across the adjacent field gives a lovely view, with cattle and sheep, and if you're lucky the chance to watch the farmer working his collie. Your own private One Man And His |Dog. There are two loos and they were kept absolutely spotless. There are many places to visit within a short drive-Rhossili was a personal favourite-although parking charges can be a bit steep at some of the beaches. All in all we were well pleased and next time we visit the Gower we will know where to book.

Nice site but not quiet

First things first. Its described as being a tranquil site, but the road that runs along side is very busy, and therefore very noisy, although it does quieten down overnight. The farm dogs howling in the middle of the night wasn't good either, as several people were moaning about them. The site itself is well maintained, with delightful owners who take great pride in keeping the site looking good. Its a pity that some of the other site users do their part, as there was dog poo just left on the site. Location wise, it was very good, not being too far from anything in the Gower area. Don't think that you can walk to the local pub though, as the road is much to fast and dangerous. Free wi-fi and toilets on site was very useful. I'm not sure I'd stay again, because of the road, but who knows, we may decide that the location outweighs the noise from the road, and the owners are lovely.

Most Welcoming Owners I have met.

Our second visit here and once again welcomed like a family member returning from afar. So refreshing to be treated this way, Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful owners here. The pitches now benefit from their own dedicated water supply so less trudging around with heavy aquaroll , most welcome. Clean and fresh toilets and services . Top this with Fresh Eggs ,what more is needed. Some road noise but the views make up for that in my opinion. Keep it up Glenda and Colin, thanks again for a good week,

Three times in two years isn't bad!

I guess we are addicted to Stembridge Farm and the wonderful Gower. However, this time we had a lovely surprise because for just £12 a night we had a fully serviced pitch, bargain! It has only been fully serviced for a couple of weeks and this just added to a what is always an enjoyable stay. Glenda and Colin are lovely hosts too, nothing is too much trouble for them. We will be back again and again.

Beautiful Gower(when not raining!)

We stayed five nights (June 4to9) at this tidy CL perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery of the Gower. Mrs. Gordon made us very wecome and the farm eggs are delicious. The site is kept very tidy with all pitches hard standing and toilets clean and tidy. An information pack would have been helpful including where to shop, where to eat and emergency contact numbers.
