Fantastic location but such a shame about the huge price increase next year....

Fantastic location and proximity to grounds/farm shop/cafe but fear that we will not be coming again as the price per night will almost double next year. Such a shame as it does feel as if the National Trust is taking advantage of holidaymakers during this difficult time. Maybe a compromise could work and there be a reduced ‘per night’ charge for National Trust members? This is especially given that all units (caravans and motor homes) and guests are a fairly captive market and contribute to takings in the farm shop, cafe, additional estate shops and the local pub in the grounds of the estate. Additionally, as there are no ‘facilities’ (showers and loos etc) it would seem hard to argue increased cleaning and sanitising to justify an almost 100% price hike. Come on National Trust …! We have supported you through our continued membership and didn’t hesitate to renew even when things were locked down because we treasure what you look after. The price increase next year does feel somewhat like an opportunity for you to cash in on the increased popularity of touring and the UK holiday market.
