Lovely site

Lovely site and great views. When we arrived there were lots of flies on the field, once we pitched up and stopped driving round, these seemed to disappear. We pitched at the bottom end of the field on the other side of the wall to the public footpath. Yes we could hear the traffic from the main road but this didn't disturb us or stop us from sleeping. We picked this site because we wanted to use the Tissington Trail. You follow the public footpath to the bottom of the field and this bring you to a stone style in the wall, 3 foot on this side, 5 foot on the other giving access to the trail. There are several steps in the wall to get over, we lifted our bikes over between us and found this quite easy (we consider ourselves quite strong and our bikes are quite light). There is a pub just across the road. There was water, elsan and recycling on site. This fitted our needs perfectly for the weekend. We will definitely be returning again in the future.
