Great Short Stay

We stayed here for 1 night enroute from North Wales to Kent.  Whilst it is a small site it is well maintained with views over the field.  It is off the main road so there is a little road noise but nothing to worry about. There are no walks from the site but we only had to drive 5 minutes down the road and you can walk down the tow path of the Shropshire Union Canal at Wheaton Aston. Friendly and helpful owner and an area we would return to as lots more to see.

Good CL

2nd time we have used this CL (both times as an overnight stop on our way North). Ideal location for M6 near Birmingham. Owner friendly and helpful. Grass short and site well kept with an information room and pleasent views from field. Separate orchard with hardstanding if ground very wet. Would use again.

Lovely peaceful CL

We used this CL for 3 nights on our way to Cheltenham and found it to be just right for us. It is very private and we really enjoyed our stay, the owners are very helpful as our satnave took us into Wheaton Aston as we had just used the postcode and this was 3 miles from our destination but Mr Simmons was really helpful and directed us. The Bell pub is within walking distance but gets quite busy and mainly caters for diners, if you don't mind driving a few miles we can recommend The Harley Arms in Wheaton Aston which sits on The Shropshire Union Canal and serves a lovely carvery on a Sunday. Really enjoyed this CL and would recommend a stay here.

Good location and a decent pub

Stayed twice at this CL, first as a one-night stopover on the way south and more recently for a week's stay. The pub is excellent but best to book a table for Sunday lunch. Good walks from the site starting on the lane to avoid the A5. The only issue is that you have to be really careful when driving off the CL onto the A5 as it is an almost blind junction with vehicles ignoring the speed limit. The property has been up for sale for a few years but no sign of it moving, possibly because of family illness.

Enjoyable visit

Very easy access, and conveniently situated for Mosley Old Hall, Wightwick Manor, Bescobel House and many more.  Not far from main road so a little noise, but perfectly acceptable.  Pleasant owners but be aware that manoeuvring the vans into position can be awkward if other van owners haven't been considerate.  So much more to see and do in this area, we will definitely return.

Lovely break to the journey

My family and I stopped over twice at this CL travelling to the New Forest from Fife. Facilities were excellent and the owner very helpful. Easy to find and access.

Lovely CL Site

This is only our second visit to a CL, chosen for it's proximity to J12 of the M6 and this was a joy of a stay. As mentioned previously it's proximity to the A5 was not a problem at all we were hardly aware of traffic. We had a slight problem reversing onto our pitch (top right hand corner) due to a tight turn and damp grass causing much complaining from the clutch, to be fair this was more my problem than the pitch location. Very friendly and helpful owner. We had a great meal in The Bell, about 200 yards from the site. Exiting the site caused us no problems at all. Sadly there is a for sale sign up and hopefully any new owners will keep up the good standard. BP station a couple of miles from the site for refuelling. Can't comment on the surrounding area as this was just an overnight stop.

Lovely, peaceful site.

We stayed here for 2 nights in May and were extremely happy with it. Finding the site was straightforward, booking in was easy thanks to the quick and helpful manner of the owner. The site is fairly level so setting up was painless. The overall standard of the site was superb, it is quiet and peaceful and we highly recommend it. PS Exiting right on to the A5 really isn't that difficult.

Lovely site for overnight stopover from Scotland heading south

We stayed here for 1 night  in June as an overnight stopover on our way from Glasgow to Cornwall. Very handy for M6 and a petrol station nearby for handy refuelling. Lovely welcome and all facilities spotlessly maintained. We only had slightly difficulty getting off our pitch as there is a small circle of trees in the centre of the area which on wet ground made ir difficult to get our double axle outfit round, but not a huge issue. Will definately stay here again in fact already contemplating our next trip. Beautiful peaceful site would highly recomend it.

Lovely peaceful site

We stayed on this site in September for easy access to the Midland Game Fair which was just 3 miles away, the owners were very helpful and friendly. This site only has a 5 pitches and we had 3 of them between myself and my other family members so it was just like having our own private campsite for 5 days. It is very close to the main road but you don't hear any traffic noise at all. Another site scoring 10/10.
